We had booked and paid for a one night stay at Dewa Goa in advance via Agoda. However, when we arrived there (at about 10:45pm) We were told that the booking is not considered valid as we booked at a too low price and that we had to pay more in order to get into our room. Of course we complained and pointed out that we have a booking confirmation and paid the price this room was offered to us. They then just claimed that they actually do not work with Agoda and that we have to call Agoda to clarify (ridiculous). This went back and forth for a while but considering the time of the day in the end we were forced to pay in order to be able to get into our room. We also asked about the breakfast times as our booking clearly stated that breakfast is included. Nevertheless, they told us they need to check if it is included or not. In the end we never found out as they never got back to us and we left very early the next morning before breakfast started. The room itself was just awful, there is no other way to say it. Nowhere close to the pictures on the internet. Not very clean overall and the sheets had stains and the pillow cases were full of hairs. Which means that the linen clearly hadn`t been changed in-between guests. There was no window and the room was musty smelling. To top it off, it was infested with mosquitos. We got bitten very badly and hardly ***aged to sleep. When we unpacked at our next destination we realised that we had left our phone charger and adapter behind. The owner of our next accommodation called Dewa Goa for us to ask if they found these items in the room but the person he talked to said nothing was in the room. We had to assume that someone from the staff had already found and kept it. All in all a very unpleasant experience and I can just advise everyone to stay away from OYO Dewa Goa.
