Xiknal Cozumel

Book it!!! You walk in and feel like you are in a hidden jungle oasis. It's so quite and peaceful even though you are in the center of the city. It is very clean too. The staff went above and beyond with any questions I had. It is walking distance to just about everything. I rented a car one day and they allowed me to park it in the garage. I highly recommend it.

Location of the property and staff are great, but it was an extremely noisy stay. The property is small enough that you can hear everything happening outside, and it was a struggle to sleep each morning with the hustle of the staff in the morning.

The hotel is a peaceful retreat, conveniently located in downtown Cozumel. The room was simple but comfortable and clean. Lots of restaurants are within easy walking distance and taxis are available on the corner to take you to the beaches around the island. I would definitely come back!

This is a lovely hotel, there's a personal touch from the property being family run and that shines through in everything from the lush garden to the bed linens. As an animal lover I appreciated the friendly pooch and cute kitten! This place is walkable from the ferry terminal and close to lot's of great restaurants. Being in the centre of the action means there's some noise at night, but overall a tranquil oasis!

My mum and me had the most wonderful, warm-hearted week at Xiknal. It made our trip really special. It´s a little paradise. The boutique hotel has just a few rooms and feels really intimate. It was so nice to have a kitchen with fridge and all necessary equipment to make breakfast, coffee and tea in the morning. There is also a table to eat. Our room was very spacious and very clean. It was the most comfortable bed in kingsize we had on our whole trip through México. The backyard is a very well-kept little botanical garden with Monsteras, palm trees, a blooming Hibiskus and other big plants. Sometimes you could see Kolibris. It´s beautifully decorated and there is also a little pool to cool down from the island heat. The hotel is in an old building fully renovated by the wonderful owners Rosalba and her husband Baltasar. You can see in every inch how much love, work and thought Rosalba and Baltasar put into the renovation and beautiful decoration of this house. You enter and it feels like a family house. Rosalba and Baltasar are really amazing warm-hearted people. They are always around for questions, recommendations or just a chat about life. When we were there, Rosalba´s sister Marisa was visiting and was such a great enrichment. But my secret star of the house was the amazing puppy dog Paloma. Just the most adorable being you can imagine. Super cuddly and always really excited to see everyone. In the basement of the hotel is a wonderful shop with fashion designed by Marisa and Rosalba. It´s one of the only local and stylish female fashion stores in whole Cozumel. The location of Xiknal is also just perfect. It´s 1 minute walk from the water in a quiet street. A big super market is also in walking distance. We can´t wait to be back!

Xiknal is potentially the most beautiful accommodations I’ve been lucky enough to book. The staff- incredible, they offer a ceviche dinner for an extra cost if you give notice. The pool is pristine. I would spend a month at Xiknal if it was up to me. Truly heaven on earth. Do not miss out.

This was a beautiful place to stay! The owners were so kind and really cared about your experience. The the gardens, pool, grounds are lively and insta worthy. Oh and they have the sweetest puppy!
