This is a gem of a property in a beautiful mountain setting. The hosts are a wonderful Costa Rican couple who go above and beyond to provide an excellent experience and food. We stayed at about 10 spots while exploring the country in March and Curuba Lodge was one of our favourites. We can't wait to return.

This Lodge is a superb small lodge with a few cabins. The hosts warm welcome and careful attention to detail made our stay a comfortable one. It is a convenient location for exploring the area in search of the resplendent quetzal. We will be back!

Eine tolle und ruhige Lage, leicht von der Pan Americana zu erreichen (man braucht keinen Geländewagen mit 4-Radantrieb). Tolle Chalets und ein gutes Frühstück und Abendessen (auf Wunsch). Absolut naturnah. Die Gastgeber haben sich viel Mühe gegeben und es hat uns sehr gefallen... Tipp: buchen Sie eine Quetzal Tour über das Hotel mit einem Führer aus der Umgebung. Früh aufstehen (6 Uhr) und eine ca. 1/2 stündige Fahrt... wir hatten das Glück 5 Quetzal zu sehen (das ist auch dort eine Ausnahme)! Und: die Lodge liegt ca. 1.600 Meter hoch. Adends war es kühl und eine Jacke ist nicht von Nachteil...

Ce petit lodge perdu dans la forêt mérite le détour. Les propriétaires et leur équipe sont absolument charmants, très attentifs à ce que tout se passe bien pour leurs clients. Les chalets sont parfaitement équipés. La cuisine est délicieuse, dîner et petit déjeuner. L’environnement est très agréable, avec un petit Trail d’environ 800 mètres dans la propriété pour une balade dans la forêt , et de très belles randos à faire tout autour. Colibris et écureuils font le show au petit déjeuner. Calme et reposant, une très belle découverte pour un prix tout doux.
