Hotels near The National Museum of Photography in Copenhagen

We were first drawn to this new hotel in the center of Copenhagen from internet research. Impeccably presented with beautiful interior design, this relatively new 5 star property is located on the water and well positioned to allow for exploration of the city. Suited to tourists as well as business guests the hotel offers well appointed rooms, comfortable beds, excellent towels & robes and attentive service in all departments. Please note, if outlooks and positioning within the hotel are of importance to you I would highly suggest contacting the hotel to get advise on room selection. We booked a Premium category room but made a poor selection based on the limited explanations on the hotel website and ended up on the ground floor facing an office building with parked vans, workers taking smoking breaks and a complete lack of privacy. The premium room category provides ample space with 53M squared but the descriptor does not state this room is a low floor room without a view. You need to book the room 'with a view'. I honestly don't recall that being offered from the list of available rooms when I booked so its quite possible the 'view' category had sold out. In any case, only certain rooms will offer views of the river so it is best to coordinate with the hotel if you have any questions. We stayed one night in our original room but the situation was not ideal - a combination of our poor selection and lack of detailed info on the hotel website. Mehmet Ali, one of the managers was most accommodating and assisted in moving us for our 2nd and 3rd nights to a room offering a spectacular view. We are very grateful for the kind and generous upgrade as this certainly was not our focus in trying to change our accommodations. Mr. Ali is dedicated in his role and wanted to ensure we had a good experience at the NH Collection Copenhagen. He personally saw to it that we were comfortable and indeed we were. Breakfast at the hotel is what one would expect from a fine hotel and the content of the buffet and overall service was a great way to start the day. We did not use the fitness facility but did enjoy the hotel bar where cocktails are professionally mixed and served by a friendly and competent team. We would have no hesitation in booking this hotel again for future visits to Copenhagen.

The size of the room is fine but without enough lighting facility. There is no hairdryer in the room and the kettle is dirty that you won’t dare to use it for boiling water to drink. The toilet have some weird smells. The room is not soundproof so whenever my neighbours are opening their door, I thought they are trying to open mine. There is a bus stop near the main entrance of the hotel and 10 minutes walk from the central station.

Perfect location ( 1 km from the railway station ) and walking distance to many touristic areas around the centre. Amazing breakfast ( the bread was amazing and the lemonade was so tasty....perfect way to kickstart your morning), clean & well-maintainedd rooms, common areas, linens. Nice bar. Fun events on certain days. Discounts on drinks. Friendly and helpful staff. Tips : 1) Don't forget to take a padlock with you, so that you can use it to keep your belongings under the bed and keep them safe locked. There are lockers available in the hostel. But you have to pay for it separately. So better to take a lock with you or you can buy one, which is available at their reception. 2) They accept cash, visa / mastercard. They don't accept Maestro.

The sink was a bit too small, my bedside socket didn't have electricity, and the next day I used the socket next to the mirror. Overall clean and tidy, a good place for a short stay. Location was nice.

Nice and clean. Can't really hear your neighbors except for the hallway and that's not much. Been staying there for 2 summers straight and have no plans for changing in the future. The staff is super nice and both got me a great update when I checked in as well as fixed some stuff I was too late to require but didn't notice until after the deadline for the day. Walking distance to about everything downtown and if you don't feel like walking you can rent a bike. Rather cheap in comparison to the area but much nicer than many other hotels in it. 5/5 from me. Will definitely stay there again next time for the festival!

It’s first visit to Copenhagen for my husband and I, I booked standard room with water view for the night before cruise holiday, were very happy with the whole experience. The room was spacious with two large and comfortable beds. All stuff were approachable, friendly and professional. The breakfast selection was excellent, fresh and tasty. We had burgers for lunch which was really yummy. Furnitures were slightly dated but all in good condition and clean.

Someone said that I did not meet the charge for bed linen nor asked me if I want bed linen at the front desk, just fill in the check-in list and give the key. The bathroom is on the bottom floor, the toilet is on the top floor, and the public hotel is well located. There is only one charging position in the nearby room, the radiator is not hot, the single-tube loop has a locker with a key

We stayed here for 1 night before joining our tour the next day and it was perfect. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was updated and clean. It was a great location for walking to everything. Would definitely recommend this hotel. The room was small not much room to move around but it was perfect for a quick night stay for the 2 of us

Great location, all new hotel with good facilities (on paper). Just a walk from Central Station was great (and on the water front along from the Black Diamond (which is worth a visit - free)). Check in was a bit slow and chaotic but once it was fine all good (we had asked for no feather bedding (due to allergy) which had been done :) - room we were given was facing the water and was plenty bath room was good (shower not bath) toiletries were fine but not remarkable. Breakfast was pretty damned good in the range of hot and cold food on offer at a large well spread out buffet. Staff were generally ok but could be a little vacant at times which was odd given that it’s a big conference venue. Main let down was the swimming pool - hadn’t looked into the detail when booking Tbf but it had pics of a pool and gym which was a reason for choosing it - but while gym was free access to residents, the pool was part of the spa and had to be paid for to use - slightly disappointing but partially own fault. Overall good value for money and v new and modern.

We booked a room through Hotwire.com and were very pleased to find that we got the Mayfair Hotel in Copenhagen as it is very conveniently located in the Vesterbro area. We only booked for one night on the way to Schweden. The Hotel is very nice and big, but now here is the not so good bit. We booked the third an most expensive a twin room and we got a broom cupboard as a room. It had a 150cm wide bed, but you could only get in from one side. The bathroom was also beyond his heydays. If they want give you room 1044 decline it. With two people in it you could barely turn without hitting each other. Needless to say we were not happy with the room and went to complain. The manager was very apologetic and got our points. He offered us an upgrade to a bigger room, which had a nice king size bed. He wanted another DKK 260.00 for the night. In the end we got it cheaper, because we wanted a better room an were tired. In fact I would have expected a free upgrade but that did not happen. From a business point I would hire that manager, because he was very good at upselling. Just of this review, give room 1044 a wide birth
