It has been 10 years since I've been to the Westford Regency. I was Manager of Corporate Services for Aspect Software for many years and handled corporate travel and did many functions there. At the request of a friend, we went for Sunday Brunch today. The food was practically inedible. Got their at 11:00 when Sunday Brunch started. All of the entrees were overcooked and so dry you could barely swallow the food. The menu listed on the website said they had a carving station of beef, Turkey and ham...it was brisket and pork. The shrimp cocktail was overcooked and hard as a rock. ....never have I had shrimp cocktail so bad. Even the desserts and muffins seemed old and dry. The only thing edible was the omelette station because it was made fresh. So for 2 people it cost $94 with tax and tip for food that was absolutely horrible. This hotel has the same furniture since the 90s. The entire hotel hasn't been renovated in so many years. Won't be returning!!! Very disappointed!
Great location. Pools awesome for the family. The only reason Im giving this review is because of one person who made our Christmas weekend. A nice young lady named Kelsey. We struggled to get proper service until she came on. She went above and beyond to make our stay as comfortable as possible. She was the saving grace. Literally moving as quickly as possible for any need. When I went to the front desk unless she was working. I would wait 5 10 15 minutes for help. I checked in on Christmas eve an Checked out Monday. All 4 days the only time I felt helped was when she was working. I probably would have checked out otherwise. I would have went across the street to the Regency. When I come back. Which I do often, only the night usually. Some staff were OK, there was only one who truly knows what customer service. Thank you to her. My stay waz great because of it.
When searching for the best hotel stay for a business trip close to Lowell, MA, I called the Hampton Inn in Westford, MA and that is when I spoke with Yolanda Munoz - she answered every question and with professionalism and kindness! I was fortunate when I checked in that she was the staff member who welcomed me and because of her, I enjoyed a great stay! This is a fabulous hotel close to Lowell and surrounding towns, etc. I also want to add that along with the welcoming hospitality this was a very clean hotel! Would stay there again for sure! Thank you, Yolanda - you made all the difference!

Very clean and modern! The snack bar has a great selection of snacks and drinks! The room I stayed in was great I loved the daybed couch it was a great place to relax and watch tv! If you have a Tesla there is a super charger station less than a minute away! The hotel is in a great area with lots of things to do!
I've stayed at this hotel last year and I had a favorable experience. This time I would say the stay was a different experience. What a difference a year makes! The hotel is fairly new and appears to be decent when you arrive. When I got to the lobby there were two people waiting for the hotel clerk who was no where to be seen. After about 15 minutes the clerk waltzed to the front desk and proceeded to take care of the people in front of me. For some reason it took an inordinate amount of time to check the people into the hotel. No idea why. Then I finally got my turn and it took about 2 minutes. I get to the room and I find a pretty nice set up with a one bedroom room with a kitchenette and living room. Upon examination I see a lot of issues: 1) The walls appear to have had holes in them that were newly patched but not painted (see picture); 2) There are burn holes in the rug in the living room (see picture); 3) The remote in the living room has no batteries; 4) The body scrub is empty in the shower; 5) The safe is locked shut. I guess I don't understand how this room was rented out with all the issues. Also, who checks the room to make sure the remote is functioning, the body scrub is filled and the safe is operational? Seriously, here's a thought for management: Instead of all virtue signaling signs in the parking lot for parking for vehicles carrying multi-persons and EV's, how about just getting the basics down in the rooms and get people at the front desk that are present? It really shouldn't be hard! I will say that the two ladies that were making eggs, french toast, home fries and bacon were delightful! They were cheerful and easy to approach. They made great eggs too! Overall, I'd say get it together Element Chelmsford! You are missing an opportunity here. I travel a great deal on business and personal and I can tell you I will be avoiding your hotel in the future!
We specifically chose this hotel because it had a pool. Our group had two hotel rooms, with a total of four kids who were excited to swim after a long drive to the hotel. Upon checking in around 6pm, we received a card stating the pool would be closing at 8pm. When attempting to go into the pool area, we noticed the doors were locked. We asked the front desk representative why the pool was closed and she stated it was because there was no lifeguard on duty. The representative then called her manager, Becky, who said it's not the hotel's fault, but it's our fault because we didn't ask if the pool was open. It is assumed all amenities are open and accessible, unless otherwise stated. We were then told by Becky that it was because the lifeguard called out, and no one was able to watch the pool area. I stay at Holiday Inn Hotels around the country, and i have never seen a lifeguard at any pool. We also have photos of multiple signs stating there are no lifeguards on duty and we are swimming at our own risk. We had four very sad and crying kids because we promised them swim time when we arrived. Your manager, Becky, should be ashamed of her poor customer service, rudeness, and lack of understanding. We are owners of Holiday Inn timeshare, and we have never experienced such awful service. This definitely does not make me want to book another Holiday Inn, or recommend Holiday Inn to anyone.

First of all, I wasn't originally supposed to be staying at the Sonesta Select in Lowell. I was supposed to be at the Sonesta Simply Suites in Burlington. So I put ”Sonesta Suites” into my Maps app on my iPhone, and it sent me to the wrong hotel! Apparently the ”Staybridge Suites” in Burlington used to be a Sonesta Suites, but nobody has told this to Apple Maps! I highly doubt I'm the only one that has suffered this problem! So after we finally arrived at the Sonesta Suites in Burlington (as in, the correct one), we were told that due to a water issue, we were relocated to the Sonesta Select in Lowell. Someone was supposed to have called us to tell us this, but let's just say ”If the phone don't ring, you'll know it's them.” So whoever's job it was to alert us to this change quite obviously failed that task. Now after driving to our third hotel of the night, absolutely exhausted after a long day of flying from California, finally we were in the right place in Lowell, a good 15-20 minutes away from where we were supposed to be staying. Thankfully the hotel had received word that we were coming and the one checking us in reiterated to us several times that the credit card I swiped at check-in was only for incidentals since my reservation in Burlington was prepaid. They also gave us a coupon for free breakfast the next morning for our troubles, which was a nice touch but made for an awkward moment for the guest in line behind us who apparently didn't get such a coupon. The room was fine and the breakfast was good, and we got on our way, only to find out later that the room rate WAS actually charged to our credit card after we already paid for the one in Burlington that we couldn't use! Thankfully I was able to email somebody from Sonesta corporate (since, for some strange, unknown reason, there is no ability to call them) and they were able to get the charge reversed. Why isn't there a phone number I can call to get such situations resolved? So I hope someone from not just this hotel is reading this but also at the corporate level, as this night felt like a classic ”left hand doesn't know what the right hand is doing”. Communication is very clearly not a strong point and it makes me seriously question whether I would want to stay at any other Sonesta property in any of my future travels.
Very modern, updated classic New England Inn. Upon entering our room, we noticed an unpleasant odor. They immediately upgraded us to a new room. Rooms were spacious and beds were very comfortable. There was a nice patio out back and a front porch with rocking chairs. It did include a nice complimentary breakfast.
