The experience is very good and very clean. There is a small kitchen with full kitchen utensils and even kitchen paper. There is no breakfast. Although the front desk is off work early, you can self-service key collection. The location is not easy to find. But there is a parking lot in the city center, but only a row at the door many

Personally, I don't think it's worth 1600. In Iceland, it's the level of a 1000RMB hotel. Breakfast is also very ordinary, with few types. There is no need to add money to the hot spring pool, the pool is very small, and the large hot springs outside are not fragrant

This hotel is in the perfect location. Bus stop no9 outside where all the trips pick up/drop off. Lovely self service breakfast with plenty of choice. Lovely, warm and cosy environment, when you come in from the cold. Our room 417 was very quiet and had a balcony. Room temperature is adjustable, which is good depending on weather. Very quiet location.

This hotel has a lot going for it, but it's held back by the fit and finish of many of the hotel's spaces. Overall, the hotel just feels dated. The red carpet in all of the halls is faded and stained, the wood floor in the room had a lot of damage, and the spa is way past its prime. On a positive note, the furniture in the room has been updated recently and the pieces were nice plus I found the bed to be very comfortable. Also, breakfast was really good! The service at the hotel was also great. But that spa, ugh. It's a perk of being a gold/diamond member, but the spa is just not in good condition. Most urgently, something needs to be done about the steam room, it smelled awful while we were there and even made other parts of the spa smell. But overall, the spa was just not in good shape with damage everywhere. Also, the location of this hotel isn't great if you're looking to explore Reykjavik but, if like us, you want somewhere with free parking for you to explore the rest of Iceland, then this is a great location for you.

Most probably the best hotel in Reykjavik, modern, new, everything in great condition and with a great location. That being said it is a very expensive hotel even for Icelandic standards. So let me start with the highlights of this hotel: - Very comfortable and great materials condition. - AC with individual room adjustable temperature is a great plus for Iceland. - I got the basic room and it felt big enough, modern and super clean. The bathroom was also big but there was no bathtub unfortunately. Great comfortable bed and sheets. - Le Labo bath products are truly amazing. One of the best I ever tried! I also appreciated that for ecologic reasons they weren't in non reusable small plastic bottles. - The rooms are silent and relaxing. I would change the black TV furniture as black always highlight the dust on it.. even when the room is nicely cleaned. - The breakfast is big and overall with good quality. But daily variation should be bigger. - The location is perfect to stroll along the shops and walking distance to the most important city spots. - The spa is beautiful and very interesting. Probably the most well designed small spa in a city hotel I have ever seen. Complimentary use of the spa is a very nice touch indeed. Although it was a really good expericence in no way this was a perfect stay specially when the price tag is considered: - The hall and corridors cleaning left too much to be desirable. At least at 3rd floor corridor there was dust, earth and stains that remained for the whole 3 night stay. It is strange as the rooms are really well cleaned (maybe it's a different team? maybe someone forgot that the corridors are also to be cleaned?). - The reception. It is always busy and sometimes feels chaotic at the proper hotel entrance. I also felt that some guest were treated differently and with more care. I got no welcome drink or even the suggestion to leave the bags. That's ok for me but then I realized the guest next to me was immediately offered all of this. I mean.. consistency is important at this level. - Hidden fees. Ok maybe it was a misunderstanding but when we arrived we were told that the hotel had valet parking only. But nobody told us the extortion each night of it. At the chekout there it was though. Also in the breakfast there was no specific tag with the champagne price but after I filled a glass with it a waiter quickly send me the bill to sign. I mean it is very bad to mix not included stuff in the buffet. Also every egg besides the scramble had a price tag. I mean for almost 700 euros a night is it reasonable to charge for a egg toast?. - The room curtains. Beautifull but totally off for iceland summer status (2-3hours of darkness). Light comes in in every curtain fold so it is impossible to cover it. Every night I woke up several times due to too much outdoor light in the rooms. This should be quickly addressed. It honestly really bothered me. - The spa only opens at 12h00 meaning you cannot use it

The hotel has two doors, one front door and one back door for pick-up and drop-off for various booking activities (when booking activities such as Aurora or sailing, it is best to confirm the address with the travel agency. The address on Ctrip is sigtun28, but the pick-up and drop-off is at sigtun38. It should be the back door address) On the first night we saw Aurora, we had been waiting at the front door. We called the travel agency and found out that the driver had been waiting at the back door. When we ran to the back door, the driver had already arrived at the front door... It took a while. … The hotel has a large free open-air parking lot, which is very friendly to self-driving travelers. You don't have to worry about finding a parking lot. It's about 5-8 minutes' drive from the cathedral and other attractions, and about 15 minutes' walk, which is not very friendly in the winter. The breakfast was quite satisfactory, in line with the general standard in Iceland (similar to the Hilton I stayed at later). There was freshly squeezed orange juice by yourself, which was quite delicious (maybe because it was squeezed by yourself...) There are many medals hanging in the hotel restaurant, so it should be an outstanding restaurant in the local area. However, due to time constraints, I was not able to have a meal, which is still a pity. If you have time, you can try it. The room size is acceptable, and the bedding is relatively comfortable (maybe because of jet lag and being too tired, but I slept extremely well). The bathroom has a bathtub and shower room. The heating is a radiator installed under the window sill. If the curtains are drawn, the effect is not very good. By the way, this hotel has disposable slippers, which are placed directly in the room drawer, which is relatively rare in Europe.

A very good experience, the hotel has a sense of design, is exquisite and clean. The front desk staff are very welcoming and friendly. In particular, the Chinese lady at the front desk was patient and polite, spoke Mandarin very well, and helped us solve many problems. I would like to express my special thanks to her. The bedding is also very comfortable. It can be said to be the best among the many hotels we have stayed in during our trip to Northern Europe. Highly recommend this hotel

This guesthouse is in a great location , near a bus stop , right across the street from the lovely Hallgrimskirkja Cathedral and the Jongsson Museum/Sculpture Park , and within walking distance of city center sights. While the room was small and spartan , it was suitable for my wife and I. The breakfast was , again , not a lavish as some others on our tour of Nordic countries but it was very nice . The staff were very helpful and amiable. While the price was high compared to comparable hotels on our trip , it was reasonable for Iceland accommodations.

The location of the hotel is very good. First of all, across the road from the hotel is the main street of Iceland. All the shops are concentrated in this area. The urban attractions, such as the cathedral, the presidential palace, and the concert hall, can all be reached on foot. There is a 24-hour convenience store next to the hotel, where you can buy food and drink 24 hours a day. The hotel is clean and quiet. Don't worry about not having enough bathrooms. There are three bathrooms on the first floor, which are completely sufficient. There is no one at the front desk. You need to press the door horn and he will open the door for you and tell you which room you are in. Just go into the room directly. The room key is on the table.

Excellent
GGuest UserThe location was perfect in that in was in the heart of Reykjavik - shops, restaurants, and a block away from a main bus pick up stop (#6) for tours. Bad thing was it was close to everything including bars and on Saturday night, it was pretty loud till about 2/3 am. Weeknights were fine for us, probably more noise from fighting seagulls than rowdy people. The apartment itself was difficult to find since it was behind the main building, through a short alley be tween the Vietnamese restaurant and gift shop. We asked a local at the gift shop to locate it. And despite there being graffiti on the walls, we never felt unsafe and have returned past midnight before. We stayed in #301, third floor apartment that was basically a studio with 2 twin beds, a sofa bed, small round table with a few chairs, microwave, dishwasher, clothes washer/dryer combo, all utensils/settings. There’s also a small balcony shared with the apartment next to us. The exterior and apartment doors were accessible via codes. Great because no keys are needed, but could be tricky to unlock. An alarm will sound after a few incorrect attempts. The apartment looked great. Simple, neutral colors. We couldn’t figure out whether the place was cleaned though since one twin bed sheet had a little stain and one of the pillowcase had a little something stuck to it. And it didn’t smelled fresh, though could be it hasn’t been booked in a while? We only slept there and didn’t use any of the appliances, including the coffee maker, so don’t know if they worked or if they supplied detergents. We did notice that there’s a note you had to empty trash under the sink. The spots on our sheet and the one pillowcase were not confirmed or enough to be a big concern for us. Overall, we liked the place mostly for convenience. But if you’re a light sleeper, this might not be a good choice. Also want to note they were very responsive via email. And lastly, on street parking which you’ll need to download app to pay between 9 am and 6 pm.

VVacation54420357317The apartment provided everything we needed for our short stay. It was clean and a good size for our family of 4. The owner was friendly and checked in with us to see if we needed anything. The location is what makes this stand out. In the center of Reykjavík and only one street away from the main shopping area. There is a well served bus stop right outside the front door. The only negative is that the kitchen could benefit from some additional utensils, particularly a pair of scissors and a sharp knife. Highly recommended, mainly due to the fantastic location.

GGuest UserHotel was clean, and overall nice. Free breakfast was very nice and had a wide range of food (bread, yogurt + toppings, make your own waffles, beans, eggs, coffee & tea); there is also a communal fridge on the 2nd floor. However, a few VERY IMPORTANT things to know regarding this hotel being self-service: 1. You are supposed to receive an entry code to get into the hotel 24-48 hours before arrival. We did not know this as we had booked through a credit card rewards program. We arrived to the hotel through the parking structure and were met with a key pad and a sign saying that all guests should have a code in their email. We called two numbers for the hotel and could not reach anyone - so we just called constantly and sat outside the building door for ~30-45 minutes. Finally some guests left and held the door open for us so we were able to be in the lobby. It was around 6pm which is when the bar opens up, so we were finally able to find a staff member who helped us. Our credit card company also finally got in touch with someone and we received our email with the code. So FYI - if you have not received a code within 24 hours, make sure you reach out so you have time to get into contact with the hotel as they do not appear to answer their phones all the time (email may be more effective). 2. The parking structure is difficult to park in - it is an underground structure, so just be prepared to park in a slightly tight space. However, the parking structure leads directly into the hotel which was very nice! 3. As it is a self-service hotel, we were having trouble opening and closing our door (we couldn't get it to lock). We were able to ask the man tending to the bar for help; but he was only able to do a temporary fix; I feel at a non-self service hotel we may have been able to get a different room with an appropriately functioning door. We just had to use lots of strength and make lots of noise to slam the door shut to lock it - not the biggest deal, but just a small note. 4. Just an FYI that this location is not in the city center of Reykjavik (you would have to drive or take the bus to get to the city center). This place is more residential, with grocery stores (which we went to) etc. We had stayed in a hotel in the city center earlier in the trip; and this was a very different spot of Reykjavik. Just FYI that Reykjavik is massive! Overall nice, clean hotel - but the self-service aspect does have its pros and cons (you just don't have the 24/7 support you might have at another hotel when little things go wrong etc.).

GGuest UserA good little hostel with the front staff being very friendly. This hostel is not at BSI bus station which is where fly bus airport transfers arrive and depart. It is a 15 minute walk from BSI bus station, but there are many tour buses that stop here. The kitchen and bathrooms were always very clean and you could see someone always mopping or cleaning. The room was very hot so pack light Pyjamas. Also there are no women only dorms!!! I thought I was booking a women only dormitory but men were in there too. One man had booked a man only dorm but obviously they don't have this either. The website and the trip.com descriptions clearly need udpating.

Very Good
GGuest UserCheck-in was pretty smooth. I was allocated the room just above the main entrance as such, it can be quite noisy whenever people get in or out of the hostel with the door slamming and some vibration felt! The bathroom and wc are fairly clean and tidy. Very cosy common area to mingle and make new friends. Kitchen has all the basic necessity. I especially like the small area right outside my room where i can have a light meal and nice view of the surroundings. Bought the unlimited bus rides ticket via the Klappid app for travel within the Reykjavik capital city and bus svc 12 is just few steps away. If time permits, you can even walk to the coastal area for sight-seeing. Overall, i am very satisfied with my 8 nights stay at Laekur hostel!

GGuest UserThe location of the hotel is very close to the cathedral and the city center. It is also very close to the bus station. It is also very convenient to go to the major attractions. The breakfast is moderate and the service is very good. The towels need to be mentioned in advance, no extra charge. This store is worth recommending.

SSonia RaphaelRoom and toilet were clean, however there was a Sulphurous odour (almost like rotten eggs) coming from the drain of the shower which was quite difficult to bare if you used the bathroom for too long. Fortunately for us, we were out most of the day, so we didn’t have to deal with it so much. They’re a sustainable and eco friendly hotel and don’t offer one-use toiletries, however extra towels and other things were offered when requested. The breakfast spread was lovely and yummy!! Appreciated the well thought out guide folder!

KKhyati ChopraEverything was perfect. The room size is excellent. We stayed at another place in Iceland before coming to this hotel. The best part was the water from the tap; unlike the other place, there was no unpleasant smell due to sulfur content at Aska. I would rebook, if I am visiting Iceland again. The best part about Iceland is, bus stops are near to all the hotels.

CChristina IWe spent 7 nights in different locations in Iceland. This was 1 of 2 that had water that smelled like sulphur. The location was good, very walkable to Hallgrimskirkja and the Rainbow Road. The breakfast was good, basically the same as every other hotel (3500kr each). The room was small, but convenient - lots of plug ins and closet space - but the bed was very hard. Perfectly serviceable, but nothing special.

Hallgrimskirkja
徐徐霞客RrHallgrímskirkja Cathedral in Iceland is a very monumental church. From the outside, it looks very simple and elegant. According to the locals, this church was built for about half a century.
Aurora Reykjavík - The Northern Lights Center
徐徐霞客RrThe Northern Lights Center in Reykjavik, Iceland. According to the locals, this place is an aurora viewing center established by four young people. The most important thing to do when going to Iceland is to chase the aurora. This place is in a great location to watch the laser-shaped aurora.
Harpa Concert Hall and Conference Centre
SsculptorThe Harpa Concert Hall is located in the center of Reykjavik, Iceland's capital. The glass building is not very conspicuous from the outside, but it is very distinctive from the inside, with elegant lines and abstractions.
Reykjavík's City Hall
徐徐霞客RrThis place is very interesting. He is located around the Blue Lake in Iceland. If you go, you can call more than four people to go in and play. Because there are few people, it will feel boring? If there are many people, it will be very hilarious to play, and the charge is relatively affordable.
National Museum of Iceland
徐徐霞客RrWhen traveling to a place or a country, the first place you should visit is its museum. It is understood that the museum covers a large area and it will take a whole day to visit it completely.
Whales of Iceland
MMikhail MishaIceland is located in the center of the North Atlantic, and the importance of geographical location is self-evident. This most Nordic-style metal sculpture in the center of Reykjavik, which shows Iceland's national style and fishing industry, one of the pillars of the economy, is a national symbol!
Perlan
EelmmPerlan is a beautiful musuem, perfect for a leisure day in Reykjavik. If you only visit one attraction in reykjavik, it has to be perlan. (you can skip aurora reykjavik and lava show) We took the bus 18 to ‘perlan’ bus stop where we walked through a little garden. there was a lot of people on a rainy tuesday afternoon. we easily spent about 3 hours there: watch shows about volcano and aurora, enter ice cave & learn about iceland’s geology. Apparently the restaurant rotates around in the dome, but we didn’t have time to try.
Laugavegur
小小鱼的麻薯片The taste is pure and unique, the environment is clean and the service is thoughtful and enthusiastic
Lake Tjornin
火山Lake Thorning is an important tourist attraction in the capital of Iceland and is worth visiting. The lake is close to the City Hall, so you can visit the City Hall as well. There are many colorful houses by the lake. There are swans, ducks and birds in the lake, which attracts many tourists, especially children. You can interact and play with the seabirds and feed them, which is fun. There are also unique European-style buildings with pointed roofs and unique bridges by the lake. There is also an interesting statue standing here. His upper body is a huge square-shaped stone, and his lower body is a man carrying a briefcase 💼, which can be interpreted as modern urban office workers working hard for life and work... It’s nice to stroll by the lake with a cool breeze and enjoy the vast lake view!
