The lady that checked us in went the extra mile to ensure we were happy with everything, helped us with our bags and even bought us chocolates to our room. We stopped here for a night travelling between Picton and Mt Cook. The Motel was on a main road and close to SH1 but set back and quiet clean and pleasant. The manager / owners were friendly, helpful and pleasant, especially after we left our radio behind. They happily arrange postage back to us after we paid the cost Would we stay again. YES - highly recommended.

I only stayed one night but it was great. Fully appointed room with everything you could want. Compact and complete with shower, toilet, kitchen, TV and wifi. Wifi and TV speed and clarity was very good and the water pressure and temperature on the shower was excellent. Would stay again. At first I thought the road was bit noisy but once I closed the small window above the bed it was nice and quiet.

Very friendly reception staff - I was leaving very early the next morning and that was no bother. Close to and easy access to Christchurch airport. Supermarket and restaurants just down the road made for a nice walk after a day's driving. Room was very comfortable - good sound proofing, did not hear the main road at all. Nice modern bathroom. I didn't use the kitchenette, or the heat pump (but appreciated that there was a heat pump if needed). Great value for money.

Hotel location is very good, 500 meters away from the right hand coundown supermarket and Huacheng, Sanshang, Dahua, Chinese supermarket. Eating lone star is not expensive. 2.5 km from the left hand is the park. The room is fully equipped and the proprietress is very good. recommend
