As this is a heritage hotel its natural that the fixtures and fittings as well as furnitures are old and mostly wooden ones. Even their gym is open air style (not in a typical air conditioned room). So depends what you want to experience. Hotel is located in the older part of the city so not as accessible most shops or restaurants around the area closes early not very happening at night. Staff are very helpful even the security guard helps to keep a lookout for the grab cab i called. Room is big and spacious.

The hotel is great. The services are very good. The Deck 1 restaurant offered 10% off to guests and the food is fantastic. They have a free birthday cakes to my daughter to celebrate birthday with her. The Spa services is fantastic. However, when we go to Deck 1 for semi buffet breakfast, we need to cross the road and is quite scary. The breakfast quality is great.

I think this is the most amazing hotel I’ve stayed in a long time, beyond it’s beautiful and that it’s got great facilities, the costumer service is just sublime. Best service ever!! I would totally stay here again and of course recommend it.

Overall was ok. But we got bad this early morning our room suddenly no a/c, no hot water and no lights. Even the hotel didn’t tell us what’s going on. Only we called the reception, and then they told us no power for our room. In our room, one table lamp next to the bed, the switch was broken. Because the incident, we got bad sleep without any compensation. Also why the hotel no spare generator for the incident. We never had this kind experience. That’s terrible and unsafe for us.

Upon check-in we were told that they didn’t have 2 single beds available in our pool access room, even though we requested it when booking. The hotel didn’t inform us that they didn’t have 2 single beds available before our arrival, we wouldn’t have chose this hotel had we found out that they didn’t have 2 single beds. They said they were overbooked. They did offered us extra bed at no additional charge. However my mum found a dead cockroach on our bathroom floor when she woke up. It is such a shock that a cockroach exist in a 4 star hotel, hugely disappointed in terms of hygiene! Also there are lots of geckos/lizards on the wall! The only good thing about this hotel is the easy access to swimming pool from my room to pool. Next time I will choose a 5 star hotel instead of 4 star.
