Facilities: Excellent Cleanliness: Spotless Environment: Quiet and comfortable Service: Attentive and thoughtful I was so satisfied after my first night that I extended my stay for another. If it weren't the middle of summer, a balcony room would be fantastic too.

Nice, atmospheric hotel at the heart of Wenshu Monastery neighbourhood.

This is our second time staying at this hotel. We just love the two-room setup, with a separate living area and bedroom, and the balcony is a huge plus. It's also super convenient for getting around, with plenty of options for food, drinks, and entertainment nearby. If we ever get the chance to visit Chengdu again, we'll definitely be back!

A truly satisfying stay! The location is excellent, right in Wenshu Monastery. The environment is lovely, and while the breakfast selection isn't huge, it covers all the basics. Both the hotel rooms and public areas are well-maintained and beautifully furnished, perfectly matching the ancient Chinese style of Wenshu Monastery. It's also very quiet and peaceful. The bathroom was odor-free, there's a full-length mirror, and each room has its own independent Wi-Fi.

I always stay here when I come to Chengdu, and the service experience is great. It's been incredibly hot in Chengdu these past few days, and the air conditioning in the room felt underpowered; it got quite warm at night. The railing and seats on the balcony outside are old and peeling, looking very dirty, so I didn't dare sit on them.

Amazing location and staff! Love this area compared to other touristy areas. Great hotpot nearby and street eats easily accessible. I would book this place again if I come back to Chengdu!

Discovering this Zen-inspired hotel nestled in the vibrant heart of Wenshu Monastery area was truly the most delightful surprise of my Chengdu trip! Stepping into the courtyard, I was immediately soothed by the grey tiles, white walls, dry landscape garden, and rustic wooden decor. The 'Buddhist Affinity' screen in the lobby and the Four-Faced Buddha statues exuded a tranquil Zen charm, and even the staff's 'Namaste' greetings were incredibly gentle. The room featured a Chinese Zen design with solid wood furniture and a tea set by the window. The bedding was so soft that I slept soundly all night, and from the balcony, I could catch glimpses of the traditional Western Sichuan folk houses in the alleyways. The location is absolutely perfect; it's a 5-minute walk to Wenshu Monastery subway station, surrounded by hot pot restaurants and snack stalls, and just a 10-minute taxi ride to Chunxi Road. Although the breakfast was simple, it was exquisite, offering vegetarian dishes alongside Western pastries, and even the freshly ground coffee was rich and fragrant. The staff also proactively recommended authentic local eateries and hidden gems. To find such a tranquil and conveniently located retreat in the midst of the bustling city, offering both serene Zen ambiance and easy access to urban life, is incredible value for money. I will definitely stay here again on my next visit to Chengdu!

Here again for the night - very peaceful as always. Maybe not for everyone. Great for me.

I stayed at this hotel over a decade ago, and now I'm back in Chengdu specifically for a nostalgic visit. The room is just as clean, classic, elegant, and quiet as I remember. My only suggestion would be for them to offer latex pillows, which would be even more comfortable – though, to be fair, I didn't ask for one, so maybe they do have them!

We really loved this hotel! Located in a beautiful pedestrian area with a temple with easy access to restaurants, shops and bars. Short walk to metro station so easy access to the restaurants of the city. Our deluxe room was beautiful with a separate lounge, bedroom and bathroom and even had 2 balconies although too cold to sit out while we were there. Breakfast was good and tasty and best of all, the staff were wonderful. My wife had a reaction to a bite and 2 staff members took us to hospital and stayed with to help with translation etc. they even called back to the hotel as we’d missed breakfast - way above and beyond what they needed to do!

This is a beautiful hotel, conveniently located near to Wenshu monastery. We didn't try breakfast as had to be up early but the room was clean and had a lovely balcony, perfect to soak up the atmosphere after a busy day sightseeing. The toilet flush wasn't great but my partner sorted it. It was quite noisy in the night when other guests returned but we couldn't hear them in their rooms, only the corridoor. Would recommend!
