central and convenient better than courtyard hotel. smells like incense tho

Rooms themselves are nice with good amenities. Location ok but quiet touristy. Hotel had no one that spoke English available for those foreign travellers. Breakfast was basic. And given the hotel advertises the spa and a free foot rub we discovered the spa was not open the wooden tubes were being used for storage and the sauna was off. disappointing really

We stayed at this hotel on 11 August 2023 as it is near the metro station for our transfer to Chengdu Tianfu International Airport the next day. The hotel is well appointed and we like the traditional architecture. We wish to commend and thank the check-in counter lady surnamed 陈 for her patience and guidance on how to get to the nearest shopping mall and to the airport by Chengdu's efficient metro. The hotel is also within walking distance of Chengdu Wenshu Monastery and nearby cafes and shops. We are happy to recommend this hotel.

I’ve stayed here before and I love this hotel. The nearby area is so interesting. This hotel may lack some of the comforts and amenities of a larger chain hotel, but in my opinion the character of this place more than compensates for that. The rooms are very good. Staff are very helpful.

Loved this hotel so much, we stayed here twice on our recent trip to China. Located in an authentic monastery precinct, the Zen Buddha Hotel was a sanctuary for us - its architecture and decor giving us a real feel for old China.

Perfectly located hotel in a lively square, with a convenient metro line 5 minutes away. The breakfast was varied and delicious. The only complaint is that the room was a little cold, even with the heater setting on the AC, when we visited in January.

Loved this gem in a perfect location of tourist area in Chengdu. We are 2 foreigners and had a great time, huge comfy room and loads of amenities (from robes to razors). Beautiful rooftop area to check the view, and great (Chinese) breakfast w good coffee. Staff was very nice all around. Would 10/10 recommend!!

Have been staying at BZ since 2012. A tranquil space in the centre of one of the biggest and busiest cities on planet earth. V well located - all the amenities you’ll ever need.

I love staying in this ancient building, Yuan he Yuan for the following reasons. 1. As a foreigner, I couldn't get China domestic cell phone SIM card, and the front desk girl told me where to get the SIM card. 2. The hotel is absolutely beautiful, it feels like I am staying in a 古代客棧 in the Song Dynasty. This hotel fulfilled my fantasy of Ancient time. 3. the location is very convenient. 4. the hotel is cheap but spotless!! Except that this hotel is not very quiet, you can hear a lot of noise outside your balcony. But even for this, I love this hotel. I enjoy so much my time in this hotel, and I think it is worth every penny.

Friendly, traditional style, comfortable and great location.

Lovely neighborhood, rooms are spacious and clean, decoration in hotel is very nice. However, spa was being renovated and breakfast was very very basic (quite in contrast with older reviews). So we did feel a little disappointed…

Staff very friendly and helpful. Everything was perfect ! I will love to return
