My friend and I had a good stay there, and the team is very friendly and supportive. They always have a staff who speaks good English to brief you and answer your inquiries. The main appeal of the hotel for us is that they have a private onsen in your room. Breakfast was also fantastic. You can go to enjoy free foot bath opposite the hotel after check out, and there are some souvenir shops and supermarket/ Lawson a few mins walk from the hotel. However, I thought the public onsen facilities were a bit dated and not so well maintained (the tubs have stains/wear and tear), even though it served the main purpose. Also during check in, they didn’t mention that we could book the family onsen on level 1 (which is private from the public bath).

Love this place. Clean, kind, nice view and perfect dishes. You can find everything you want when you stay here. Everything was clean and new and also well equipped & managed. Perfect place to stay when you trip to Nagasaki! Highly recommended.

The service was excellent. My schedule was blocked so I arrived at 1930. The staff provided dinner as usual. Dinner is a Western-style fine dinner, which tastes great and is generous in portion. The room was clean and had plenty of space. The scenery outside the window is a sea view. The bath is comfortable and first-class for travel relaxation.

The hotel facilities are very new and you can borrow yukatas of different colors. Each room has an independent hot spring. It would be nice if the bathroom and private hot spring lights were brighter. The room has a sea view, but is separated by a large parking lot. The transportation is convenient, the bus stop is diagonally opposite, and there is an express bus stop to Nagasaki a little ahead. The hotel is facing the footbath 105 on the beach. The weather is nice, the sea breeze blows, you can soak your feet and have a drink. Dinner was fine dinning Japanese food, which was very attentive. After staying for two days, the dishes were all different (but the portions were much smaller compared to the hotel next door). If your friend doesn’t eat fish, you can ask the front desk to help arrange it. The only thing I am not satisfied with is that the hotel windows cannot be opened. The air near the sea should be fresh and the sea breeze can blow, but the windows cannot be opened and the room feels stuffy. There is a seafood souvenir shop diagonally opposite the hotel. When you walk in, you can smell the aroma. The squid cakes are pressed and grilled on site. They are super fragrant and delicious. You must try it! ! There are packaged ones that you can buy home as souvenirs.

Overall, it's nice. There's a private hot spring in the room, but the food is so-so.

Hotel is down from the Unzen Hell valley which makes it less congested. It’s a beautiful Ryokan hotel with private Onsen in our rooms overlooking the sea, we stayed in the 4th level. Dinner was delicious and so was breakfast. The self service coffee machine makes delicious coffee - I wonder what coffee beans they used. There’s a family mart just next door.

It's our first time staying in Ryokan in Japan, we were unsure what to expect before arriving. But when we arrived, we felt comfortable with the warm welcoming of the host & staff. The host & the staff make us feel like being home. Our dinner & breakfast are delicious, we can feel the chef's love for cooking and sincerity in making you feel at home. There's a private onsen in our room

We for sure enjoyed our 2 night stay. Nice well maintained hotel in Japanese style, but western beds. Private Onsen in your room with great (sunset) view. Staff very polite and helpful with bookings (dolphin trip, ferry). Dinner 1st night was outstanding, 2nd also ok. Free parking across the road. Will come again !

This is a wonderful ryokan managed by friendly and hospitable staff. The bosses also serve alongside with staff. The ryokan is well-kept & the decoration is chic. The rooms are big enough to sleep 2 adults & 2 children. There is parking directly in front of the hotel which cost will cost you ¥250 but the hotel will reimburse you. The food quality is high and the private onsen is spectacular! The surrounding is nice & quiet. There is a Lawson just less than a minute away if you need to buy something.

We stayed at Iseya a whole week while visiting my partner’s son, daughter-in-law and grandchildren in a nearby town. We have stayed in Obama previously for the same reason, and the town was just as nice as we remembered. But this was the first time we had stayed at Iseya, and we are so glad we did. The ryokan has been there for centuries but was rebuilt in 2019 and now has all the modern comforts. The in-room private onsen is fantastic, real geothermal spring water, and really hot. The views and sunsets over Tachibana bay are great and we enjoyed watching the local older people play “grand golf” on the town playing field opposite the hotel (with the bay behind) every morning at 7 am. But it is the staff who really make the place special, so friendly, despite our very poor Japanese, and several speak good English. We really felt welcome, despite being the only foreigners staying there on most days. The breakfasts are fantastic, no need for lunch, and different every day. We ate there just one night and the meal was equally good. The housekeeping was immaculate. Overall highly recommended, and although not cheap, not vastly expensive either and definitely good value.

A little pricey on the weekends, but the ambiance and friendliness made me forget about that. The in-room onsen was nice but needed cooling down to be useable. The "public" onsen was awesome, with a nice variety of tubs/pools and an entertaining geothermal interface. Before landing in the pool, the hot spring water cascaded over a wall of rice straw in pulses like a little geyser. The food was delicious, and the staff gladly refunded our second dinner because we had reservations elsewhere. Also, every room has an ocean view. I want to go again

Very nice establishment located close to the sea. Large room with tatami mats and private onsen with direct view of the sea. Breakfast and dinner are exceptional and not to be missed. The staff takes great care and meets all your expectations. A public onsen is right next door and it's worth going there. A rich experience at this establishment that we highly recommend.

The food was very delicious, the portions were just right, and they explained everything to me every time they brought it out, so I was able to enjoy it. There was a hot spring in the room, so I was able to enjoy the large communal bath and the bath in the room.
