Disastrous experience. The hotel is dirty (staff smokes in the room, empty wine bottles everywhere...). The first evening when we arrived at the room we found cat droppings on the bed. The hotel staff laughed and moved us to another room. We requested reimbursement for hotel accommodation costs. The boss agreed but did nothing. A young employee had the temerity to yell at us because we were asking for compensation. The behavior of all employees, including the boss, is unacceptable. If you are that incompetent, you shouldn't open a hotel. If you don't like rude people who always smoke and drink, run away!

By far the best accommodation in Chengde, in relation between price and quality. The service was amazing!!! I don't know how much money the reception ladies make, but they deserve a raise, every single time I had a question they were able to answer, from places to go, to places to eat. Limited english support, of course, but a translation app does the job. The room I stayed in was male-only. The beds all had curtains, an indoor light, and a private plug for charging, so no complaints. The in-room bathroom was always clean aswell.
The only con would be the amenities, no towel, no toothbrush, but I had brought my own so not a problem for me, and this is begging to look like common practice at hostels worlwide. And you need to make your own bed. Aside from that everything was perfect.

Great spot for a night, easy to get to all the major sights in Chengde by bus from this hostel. It is very central.

I am satisfied. For very low price I've got comfortable, clean and quiet room. Staff doesn't speak English, but is very helpful and friendly. They allowed me to check-in at the middle of the night (at arround 4 AM) and they didn't charge me for that additionally.

Location is very at the heart of Chengde
Service is normal you need to do your sleeping gear bully yourself
room is so small I stay at 6 dorm recommend 4 dorms is better just pay a little extra
This place is new and so clean
It seem like the girl who in charge she focus only the bar at ground floor don’t mind anything for hotel guest

The room is very clean, with capsule beds. Each room has a private bathroom, which is very convenient. The hostel is very warm. The boss and the front desk lady are very considerate. It's a great experience! The cat is called Youyou, very well-behaved and cute!
