Hotels near Paradise Beach in Castaway Island

When I went to the Maldives, I felt that the natural environment was too ordinary. The rooms are small and the details show the general management of the hotel. The front desk bill will be wrong. Chinese family guests, I think 2 to 4 days on the island is not right, it is worth the accommodation experience. Fijian cultural activities with children on the island can participate, hair braiding is 120 RMB and 40 Fijian dollars. Children's buffet is 55 Fijian dollars and 165 RMB. Catering is a problem when taking the elderly, the food is too westernized, and there is no choice. If the elderly have taboos and high blood sugar, please consider carefully. There are 3 restaurants on the island, but often only one is open. The average head consumption is between 240 and 330 RMB per meal. For island expenses, make sure you have cash or multiple credit cards.

Transportation: From vuda Marina, the hotel provides free pick-up and drop-off. Going to other places needs to communicate with the island owner. The boss is super enthusiastic. Going to cloud9 also found his friends to send us. Although the boat to cloud9 is not good, it is very exciting (500fjd a boat) Hygiene: Health is still very clean, Sapporo is around the island after snorkeling, you will bring a lot of sand to the bed. After the explosion of Shangri-La brand hotel (brand hotel is a lot of people, the service staff is not very enthusiastic, even ordering is not positive, water is not given). It makes people feel that all aspects are served very thoughtfully. After returning to the main island, the hotel will arrange for you to rent. Generally speaking, it is a good cost-effective Fiji outlying island resort. The highlight is of course that it is only for adults (basically couples or couples), and it is not far from the island (one hour boat ride) plus four round trips a day, and you can even transition without the island. . After all, four-star service, coupled with Fiji Time, can not expect too much. For example, the basic questions asked by the front desk before check-in are generally answered within a few days, but if I want to make more complicated arrangements such as activity reservations or details (partly because the activity department of the resort is relatively independent and free), I send N many emails and even make direct international phone calls. In the past, the effect was limited, of course, this situation is also relatively common in Fiji. The people are nice, just not up to the standard of domestic or Bali Phuket service. In addition, if you live in his bure, pay attention to the problem with the indoor shower design. When washing, it must leak water to the ground outside, and then the whole bathroom will be very wet and slippery. The staff will tell you that most of the guests use outdoor showers... But if you still tend to use indoor ones, my personal response is to put a bath towel in the door to absorb water + block it. The room cleaning is in place, such as mopping the floor every day (this is rare in five-star chain hotels), but there will still be Xiaoqiang (and big and small) haunting… Another point is that, for some reason, a certain book says that his family's meals are very good. We ate it, especially the first few days most dishes (including breakfast) were overly salty! The last day was a little better. I don't know if the middle chef changed or if we all ordered the dishes on the thunder (in that case, the thunder points would be a bit too much~) But looking back, it's still a shame. After overcoming these non-deal breaker issues, the overall experience was relatively pleasant (picked a few photos for reference). If it is the first time to go to Fiji and can book a special room, it is recommended to try it.

Heaven is, Musket cove. We stayed in musket cove last year and fell in love with the resort. So much so, we decided to make it our annual june holiday. Once again we were so welcomed by the most amazing, friendly and calming staff. Our Bure was a beautiful retreat, that felt quiet, peaceful and authentic. The island is our absolute favourite… the sand paths, immaculate gardens and activity/ entertainment options provided us with a dream holiday. My husband surfed almost daily, while I would go for hikes, run the island trials and explore. Found secluded beaches and lookouts that are more breathtaking than imaginable…. Ziggy and Josie always provided us with refreshment afternoon drinks (without prompting our preference) at the island bar yacht club. Ruth always hooked us up with the best tours, snorkelling trips and activities. Suli, was the biggest vibe. We loved his presence and enthusiasm. We loved our trip (again) so much, we re-booked for august and December/ January. Paradise does exist…

We were lucky enough to experience the Adults Only Waitui Beach Club Package which gave us a little bit more luxury of being pampered at the Spa and entry into the more sophisticated Journal Lounge. At the lounge we had daily complimentary high tea which was delightful, Bubbly with Breakfast and delicious complimentary sunset cocktails or Gin and Tonic with a beer for Hubby! The staff in the Executive Lounge went above and beyond with their service, in particular Payal who had such grace and Professionalism, Kara with her infectious laugh and Agnes who was a delight with her quiet demeanor. Mili, Loyalty Supervisor, thank you for checking with us that our stay was meeting our expectation (which it was) and giving us an insight on how the resort was travelling since Covid. Waitui Beach Club Grill...you cook an excellent steak and your staff's recommendation of the fish curry was spot on considering I hadn't tasted one before. Thank you to your staff who always made us feel welcome, especially Vau who always remembered our names throughout our stay! A big thank you to Claire too for indulging me with some French conversation which I remembered from my school days! Finally, thank you to Solo for your professionalism and friendly nature in both checking us in and out. We ran out of paper to note down more staff but please note you are all exceptional too. SEE YOU NEXT YEAR!!!

Firstly the service, staff and activities are absolute 5 star. There were 24 staff to 10 guests - this is a very small resort with only 5 Bures. The Bures themselves - so far from 5 stars .. cupboards whose doors didn't close, light globes that weren't working, baths that didn't seal. As expected, the pool and dining area is very small but being all inclusive and being able to eat at whatever time you liked was great. Other guests really went all out having cocktails and snacks at 9am - nothing was too much trouble. The meals/drinks we were packed for our day trips were sensational, so much lovely food. Having someone pack you food, load up a boat with deck chairs and umbrella and drop you at a deserted island or sandbar for a few hours on your own was just amazing. We had friends staying for several days same time as us which made it more fun. Food was fine, not fabulous, not awful. TIP - if you have mobility issues please reconsider this place. The path between the bures and dining area was very unstable and rocky, as was the path from the helicopter landing pad to the resort. The beachfront is coral so you need reef shoes all the time and you need to be able to walk out to the boat and get in it to go anywhere. Wouldn't stay here again as we prefer something a little bigger with more water activities (sailing, kayaking etc) but we had a brilliant stay here mostly thanks to the wonderful staff.

The Terraces Just returned again to this wonderful resort with my 2 friends. I can highly recommend this accomodation in either a 1 brm or 2 brm apartment. The apartments are very clean & spacious with all the facilities you need with a kitchen & laundry, with lovely views of either garden or pool & golf course from 1 or 2 of the balconies in the 2 brm apartment. The pool & gardens are highly maintained with plenty of pool loungers. The convenience to Port Denarau is just 5 mins walk away to all the bars & restaurants plus a fully stocked mini mart. All the staff at The Terraces are very friendly & helpful. I’m looking forward to my return again in November.

The website photos makes this look like a luxe stay but the bures have a tired, worn-out feel and need a lot of maintenance. I suspect the pictures were taken fifteen years ago when the resort opened and not much upkeep has been done since. The floors are faded and scratched - a simple refinishing would go a long way. The structure has apparently settled as there are gaps in the joints and the bathroom ceiling sags. Speaking of the bathroom, the shower head has corroded out in a few places and delivers a seriously inconsistent spray. Design-wise, the water closet is too small: everything is based on one-meter squares and it's smaller than an airplane toilet. (I hit my head on the door every time I sat down on the toilet). The water heater for our bure is much too small (probably 100 litres) and running out of hot water was the norm. Also no showers back-to-back, the heater needs recovery time. While the photos show all of these wide-open doors to let the outside in, when we suggested it the staff said it was a bad idea because of all the mosquitos. They also helpfully suggested that we don't take a walk to the beach down the road as a number of guests have been robbed while walking down the road. I'm not sure how the website can claim that the bures are 860 square feet; the interior space is 4x8 meters (344 sq feet) and including the outside verandah, the size is 52 sq meters (560 sq feet). Maybe the footprint of the canvas roof is 860 square feet but claiming that as the size of the bure is quite a stretch. On the positive side: The grounds are beautiful, the staff was very helpful and the food was quite good. If the owners had just taken six months of the COVID shutdown to perform some routine maintenance, and if the grounds were in a safer location, this would have been an easy recommendation. As it is, we wouldn't return and I wouldn't recommend it to friends...

My wife and I spent 7 amazing nights here! The resort has everything, you don’t even have to leave! You can catch a 45 minute cab ride to port denaru for some adventure experiences of course, but so much to do here. Isikeli and Jim - as well everyone else at the water sports area were awesome! The 5 hr cruise with snorkel and wave runner safaris were definitely worth it. Joey over at the fish bar is great and pours some good drinks. Missi and Adam with activities also some great people to run into for a soccer game on the beach. Marcus was the friendliest person to run into everywhere at the resort throughout the day. Simon at the front lobby will help square you away with whatever you need. We had a lagoon view bure which was a home away from not wanting to go back home. Walk right into the lagoon from the beach or sit on your balcony while reading a book. All in all could not recommend this resort more. Safest part of the trip is was having to leave.
