My first visit after the refurb. Its light and airy but kept the old feel. This has as much to do with the great staff as it does the building. Stopped in for lunch. The menu was simple and varied with great choices and a very good price. Thankyou everyone and see you all again soon. Have a great season.

Just reopened after refurbishment and just getting going. We had Easter Sunday lunch here after our hike and wanted to check out the pub to see the changes. Family of 4 with 2 teenage boys and a dog. We have been coming to the Inn for years and quite often walk there, as we stay in-between Betws and Capel Curig. The new menu looked great and we all had different dishes from burgers to nut roast. We all thought the food was banging! :-) The bar layout was the same. The games room has been taken over by tables, but didn’t really ever see anyone using the pool table. The refurbishment has radically updated the Inn but let’s face it, it needed it. The old charm was ok but it limited the place and in today’s climate things have to evolve to survive. I am glad the Inn is still there. We enjoyed our visit and will be back.

We went and stayed nye 2023. Our plan to have dinner and get up early to climb snowdon. The staff were all very helpful and jovial. We had some lovely food and drinks. I had the steak and ale pie which was delicious. Puff pastry topped pie 🥧 that was absolutely packed with meat. My husband had the chicken burger which was a chicken breast, not a horrible chicken patty. We were both very impressed by the food. The room itself was very clean and tidy. The bed was comfortable. No idea what the view was like as we arrived and left in the dark. It’s a really great location for snowdonia. The only issue would be that the walls in our room were a bit thin. Being NYE the people next door had their TV up very loud until after 12.

Cosy pub, good breakfast and excellent evening meal. Lady in breakfast room very pleasant & welcoming. Gentlemen who booked us into our rooms and also worked on bar very miserable and not very welcoming ! But he also cleaned & changed the rooms, and was the night caretaker. Very few staff working but lucky for us not many people in hotel ! Would return as in a lovely setting but would hate it in summer as right on busy road!!

Excellent service, lovely setting and really good food. We were really well looked after during our stay as a large family group. Only issue we had was with our bed/mattress. We were in room 9 and the mattress was so soft neither me or my husband got more than a few hours sleep. Needs replacing asap.

A lovely welcome from Bethan and her friendly colleagues. We were here for a few nights to celebrate our wedding anniversary along with our four legged friend! We were made to feel welcome with all members of staff eager to help. The food we had was exceptional from the breakfasts to the bar meals, I cannot emphasise how nice and varied the menu was, thank you chef! A good base for walkers and not too far from the A55, this was a popular destination for both accommodation and those dining or enjoying liquid refreshment! Diolch yn fawr.

There are many hotels, motels and bunkhouses in the north of wales, there are not many that are classy and have great people working in them, this place is very good and the food and bar is excellent, we will return after the refurb.

Perfect. Hotel location is perfect, staff friendly and customer focused, rooms are great too. Had room 14 with 5 bunk beds which was much fun. Kettle in the bedroom, with profusion of tea/coffee/etc. Breakfast was perfect too. Highly recommend, will come again.
