I have spent 18 days working from JOYN Zurich so think this should be a fairly accurate review of my experience. For context, JOYN is new so may still be working through teething issues, but hopefully this is useful feedback. Pros; - Comfortable, well equipped rooms. I was in one of the largest apartments they offer and it is a good space to spend a lot of time - The kitchenette whilst small is workable and has most of what you'd need - Well located close to the airport and about 25 mins by tram to central Zurich - Nice bathroom and good shower pressure - Gym is good with nice new equipment - Very close to great supermarkets (Coop and Migros next door) - The communal spaces are lovely, including the central courtyard and roof gardens - Strong water pressure from the shower (although the drain didn't seem to be able to cope with the volume of water which meant potential overflowing of the shower unless carefully managed) - The room has a small dishwasher. There were two dishwasher tablets provided and these weren't topped up by the cleaners, meaning you'll need to buy more Unfortunately the cons are pretty significant though, particularly if you want to work from here; Cons - The wifi is atrocious. At best the speeds hover around 1mbps which isn't good enough for stable whatsapp or facetime calls, let alone Teams or Zoom work calls. I thought this may have been my room but is pretty much my experience in all the open spaces including the ground floor communal spaces (see screenshot from Speedtest). This makes it unsuitable for any work. - The cleaning services are a bare minimum. After one week they changed my linen and towels but didn't vacuum, sweep the floor, empty bins or clean the bathroom. After another 7 days they'd hadn't come to clean again and when prompted they said it would be cleaned that day (but it wasn't). On the 8th day I asked and again they promised to have it cleaned. Whilst I wouldn't mind cleaning myself, there is no vacuum cleaner, cleaning cloths or anything else in the room to clean with, so unless you want to buy your own, be prepared for it to get pretty dusty and the bathroom to get dirty. Cleaning also didn't include replacing the kitchen towels so you'll have to wash these yourself if you're staying for an extended period. - Other than the supermarkets nearby there is pretty much nothing else around Perhaps they're not used to guests having longer stays, but with cleaning services like this, it will become pretty horrible unless guests buy the cleaning products and do it themselves.

Swiss budget motels are better than most American 3+ star hotels. Tram is seconds from hotel. Tram cost 2.70 Swiss Franc one-way (May 2023). Less than 20 minutes from Lake Zurich. Room was good enough size for one short night before the airport. Laundry on-site. Food/drink vending machine in lobby.

The hotel itself is a bit elder, but the rooms are all renovated. The hotel has his own parking places. Good accessibility. The location close to the park and the center is perfect. Everything was fine. I will come back.

Zurich Airport – Radisson The hotel offers shuttle service to / from the airport. To: CHF6 / From: free. Shuttle reservations are required. The hotel has a restaurant with a limited menu-food was good / beer was cold. The rooms are very comfortable and quiet. We arrived at the Zurich Airport via train from Strasbourg and enjoyed a good night’s rest before our 7:00am shuttle (therefore, we did not have breakfast). The Zurich airport is huge; allow time. Hotel is highly recommended.

Good value in a great location. We walked from the train station. Enjoyed an excellent breakfast while watching pedestrians and cyclists making their way to work and school. The beds were comfortable, the shower was hot and strong. The young man who checked us in was 5 star. Definitely recommend.

I must say I am very satisfied with this accommodation. There’s a free shuttle van to the hotel upon arrival (just exit Arrival Door 2 and turn left, find a digital board and see the timing of each shuttle). Check-in was smooth and front desk staff was accommodating. The room has all the basic necessities except for a fridge (which is not a problem for me). The location is not far from the airport and near (around 10 minutes leisure walk) to Rumlang Train Station to connect to Zurich HB.

We stayed there for the first time. It was pretty easy to get there from airport terminal. Staff were wonderful and extremely friendly. Breakfast was really great with a lot of choices. If I want to recommend anything, I would say that I hope that they keep the restaurant open until midnight for late arrival.

Are you a business traveller seeking a comfortable place to stay with good service at a reasonable price? Then B&B Hotel Rumlang is hard to beat. I stay here regularly and I find the value, the quality of the rooms, facilities and services very good for the price per night. I know that when I arrive here, a comfortable bed, a clean room with simple offerings, and a good nights rest is what is waiting for me. It isn't the Hilton, but that's not what I am expecting - easy access to work, quiet nights rest in a cosy atmosphere at an affordable price, is. Visiting the area, I chose this hotel for its convenient access by public transport - bus every 15min to downtown Baden - and reasonable price - cheaper than in the city centre. My overnight stay was excellent. A big thumbs-up for the whole staff: whether at reception or during breakfast, each team member was smiling and helpful. The room reflected the usual Ibis standards. Bed and mattress of good quality - I slept perfectly well. Congrats for the soundproofing which is truly excellent: despite the busy road passing by and the motorway just at the back of the hotel, I did not hear any noise at all. Compared to other Ibis hotels, this property is offering air-conditioning in all rooms - much appreciated during the hot days. As usual in Switzerland, room and bathroom spotlessly clean. Thumbs-up for the breakfast offer with a generous and tasty buffet: Various breads and Danish pastries from local bakeries, Swiss cheese, cold cuts, yoghurt and birchermuesli, fresh fruit salad, various preserves. Even scrambled eggs are available. All in all, an excellent and tasty experience, better than in other Ibis properties. This is an excellent address for a stay in Baden, with outstanding value for money. I will gladly come back.
