Just enjoyed a week at the hotel, and after reading the negative reviews about the building work being carried out there, I have to say you will find it hard to find anywhere in Malta where building work isn't being carried out. I would definitely recommend you visit this hotel, Jonathan was very helpful when we checked out of the hotel. Great location near to all the restaurants and bus station. The rooms are clean. Thanks for making our stay here memorable.

Pleasant, clean, specious rooms with all the amenities for your comfort! The front-desk goes out of their ways for your support. We thank Viktoria, Dushan and all the others to be able to upgrade for the top floor facing the bay fully. Congrats to all the hard workers at the propery!

The first time visiting Malta - with my parents and sister. Our mission was to ‘make memories’ in Malta. Very useful to have hired a car. The bus service is very good on Malta, but the convenience of having a car was fabulous - don’t pay for parking - there’s plenty around the side streets for free (don’t park on the yellow lines) We received a wonderful welcome at the hotel reception desk. Alex was very smiley and attentive and the chocolates cookie was a lovely touch. A little disappointing that our rooms were at opposite ends of the hotel and on different floors, but really wasn’t a problem. So glad that we paid a little extra to have a sea view. The pool area was lovely. Plenty of sun-loungers and towels. When the towels run out, we had to go to the indoor pool to get fresh ones. Not a problem (this is just for info). We were aware of the building work and the cranes were quite entertaining. We can see that the beach area will be lovely when finished (good excuse to return 😜) The food in the restaurant was delicious. breakfast, the desserts at dinner time and Marina’s bubbly and happy welcome were always a highlight. There were some issues with some of the hot-plates not heating some of the foods as hot as we would have liked, but this was resolved quickly and efficiently by Viktoria - top marks to her and her team for accepting our feedback so graciously. Our room 5137 was just perfect up on the 5th floor is definitely the place to be and perfect views of the bay and we loved the evening live entertainment. The hotel is just a short walk (along the prom) to a little town - lots of stops for icecream en route! A lovely spacious and luxurious hotel

This hotel was amazing! Nice and clean and the service is at such a high standards as soon as you arrive to check in. The staff are so friendly and always smiling and make you feel so welcome. I have to say the best service I have received from all the hotels I have been to. The hotel itself is very clean and our room was very nice with an amazing sea view. Location is also very good. I highly recommend this hotel.

We were visiting family in the area and had heard great things about this hotel in its previous incarnation as The Dolmen. We were looking forward to staying, but despite a promising start (smooth check in and delicious cookies on arrival), a few things did disappoint. We had paid for a standard room, which was on the second floor. While the room itself was nice enough, the view from the balcony was of a service area, brick wall fire assembly point and maintenance hub, where workmen were milling about constantly in front of our terrace. We asked straight away if we could pay to upgrade to a higher floor or even a sea view, but were told the hotel was completely full. We found this hard to believe in May and outside of the school holidays. The room was as described - standard - but we felt a few small tweaks could have made all the difference. There were 8 hangers in the wardrobe, which is nowhere near enough for a couple. There was also a separate hanging rail in the room, but no extra hangers, so the rail was basically useless. The space would have been better used for a chest of drawers, especially as the bedside cabinets were just tables and had no storage whatsoever. There was also no mirror above the dressing table in the living area, and no hooks either on the back of the door or on any of the wall space for a jacket/robe etc. We had to request extra pillows as only two were provided with no spares in the wardrobe as you’d expect. The bathroom was nice, and the shower was lovely, but there was only a tiny amount of space around the sink for toiletries, despite there being loads of empty space underneath. An additional shelf or unit would have been really useful and would have meant we didn’t have to leave our full toilet bags on the floor. We tried to book a late check out as our flight home wasn’t until the evening, but were told it couldn’t be confirmed either way until after 8am on the day of departure, so we basically had to be up and ready for an 11am check out anyway just in case. We’ve never experienced this before as usually you can pay to book this in advance. Again, in May and outside of the school holidays we weren’t sure why this was a problem. Overall, the hotel has promise, and we could see that when finished the beach and spa areas will be lovely. The pools were great, as were the Azure (buffet) and Ombré (bistro) restaurants. The best breakfast selection we’ve seen in a long while! It would be good to see these small issues addressed before the hotel is fully open later in the summer as its location is great and we would like to come back.

Stayed here in April.The hotel was undergoing some improvements to the outside area at the front of the hotel but did not cause us any problem.The hotel itself had just reopened in March after a major refurb and it is absolutely immaculate. The standard of cleanliness is exemplary and the facilities first class. Our towels were changed every day and the room cleaned to a high standard every day.The bistro restaurant is great for a lunchtime snack with lovely sea views. Food in the main restaurant was very good but what was exceptional was the restaurant staff.Special mention to Marina who was so lovely helping my wife who is fussy eater and to Micheal,one of the chefs wh o was really kind snd helpful.I would recommend this hotel to anyone wanting a relaxing stay in Malta.Well done to all the friendly staff.
