A lovely period house in a rural setting. Our room was beautifully furnished and offered a stunning view over adjoining countryside. The owners are friendly and helpful. Breakfast is freshly cooked and ample. Would have no hesitation in visiting again in the future.

We overnighted here, on the way to North Wales. The host, Jonathan, was welcoming and showed us exactly what was what. We arrived early enough to enjoy the scenery in the evening light, and they allowed us a slightly later than usual check-out the next morning which gave us an hour or two to walk in the neighbourhood, and appreciate what we were missing by staying for a single night. Our room was top class, with a great bed and a huge bathroom, and no complaints with the breakfast either. Definitely a place to which we'd like to return.

We are just home from staying at Upper Buckton Farmhouse, which is the most stunning B&B. The view from our bedroom and the whole house is the most beautiful & spectacular we’ve ever seen. Jonathan & Mary are lovely hosts who have made their beautiful home into a very welcoming calming & delightful place to relax for their guests. The eggs at breakfast were the best we’ve tasted & our room was gorgeous. We are looking forward to coming back in the summer to take full advantage of the glorious outside space. AMAZING experience. Jonathan & Mary were the ultimate hosts.....nothing was too much trouble and they were only too happy to accommodate anything needed, and they were very attentive. The Breakfasts were brilliant made with fresh local ingredients. The room was perfect with a very comfy bed....and it was ultra quiet at night. The breakfast room was great, a communal single dining table creating breakfast bonding with fellow guests. Wonderful setting with stunning views. Highly recommended.

Another amazing stay. Jonathan and Mary are excellent hosts, and the house and gardens are simply lovely. We really love the fact that it always feels like we're going home when we stay at Upper Buckton ! There is also a gentle walk down to the river with amazing views back to the house.

My husband and I stayed for 3 nights. We found the experience nothing but excellent. The setting is beautiful, with views to die for. The house and gardens are lovingly cared for by our wonderful hosts, Jonathon and Mary. Nothing is too much trouble for them. They simply want their guest to have the best time, which we did. Our room was large, extremely comfortable and spotless. The highlight of our stay was undoubtedly the magnificent home-cooked breakfasts. Everything was served to perfection and tasted utterly delicious. The hardest job was not to over eat. I defy anyone to go light on the selections available. Whilst the breakfast were admirable, having the opportunity to enjoy them on the veranda, with the splendid views our seats afforded us, topped the lot. I can’t recommend it highly enough.

Interesting building, nice grounds , easy parking. Helpful owners . Let’s start with the probabilities, Probably the best fan I’ve used , probably the easiest parking, probably the only time I’ve stayed somewhere and not been bothered no pub on the doorstep And now the definitely,s , Definitely- the best sausage I’ve eaten, The best bed mattress I’ve ever slept on The best bedding The best pillows. Good breakfast, good standard of hygiene, clean spacious bedroom with non-restricted window openings which allowed you to hear the sounds of nature at night if you choose to do so. , The only thing lacking for me personally in the owl room , was the ability to lock the door. Owl doesn’t have on en-suite but bathroom is exclusive for the owl room.

Johnathon and Mary were wonderful hosts, putting our every need at the highest priority. Every comfort was well considered. We will return time and time again, knowing we will feel fully refreshed and relaxed. This is a wonderful blend of the right location, fabulous house, décor. and fabulous caring providers.

What can you say, that hasn't been said before, but Excellent all the way, accomodation, the breakfast and the views across the garden, one of the best views to have your breakfast,Jonathan and Mary ,are very attenative and one of the best B&B's we've ever stayed in.
