I've been visiting Oswalda Hus for the fifth time this year. It's become our favourite destination to relax and enjoy the surrounding nature. We've been staying over in the challet with a nice view of the mountain range. There are two separate bedrooms for extra privacy with good sound insulation so snoring is no issue. The bathroom is very clean, it has a very unique electric toilet with many buttons for you to test :) The kitchen is located inside the living room as a cooking island and it has an oven, a dishwasher and stovetop to make your own food. The livingroom has a big cosy sofa with a nice view towards the balcony. The only downside I can think of is the wifi connection. It has a download speed of 5,5 Mbps in the living room and the connection drops once you're in the bedroom closest to the hallway, but it's fast enough for the TV to run Netflix or Youtube.

Our family of 2 adults and 2 children stayed at Oswalda Hus during the last week of 2022. We had a room in the beautiful newly build section, the room was cozy and looked nice, there was a seperate bedroom for the kids with a bunker bed and a spacious bathroom. No water cooker and no coffee machine in the room. The double bed had 1 mattress that felt new and one that felt a bit saggy. The kids complaint that their mattresses in the bunker bed were too hard. The outdoor pool is very nice and large enough to swim some laps. The breakfast buffet had the usual choices that you see in a 4* hotel. Coffee is from an automatic machine, I didn't try it. The dinner starts at 19:00 with the main course being served as late as 20:00, by that time our 8 year old was barely awake. The food is not proper restaurant food, but more like food that people would cook at home. Some dices tasted good, some were complete failures. The price of the food is included in room price, however drinks are not, which are rather pricy, €4 for a bottle of tap water and around €5 for a glass of elderflower juice. We found the restaurant very underwhelming. When we asked for fresh towels after a few days, housekeeping told us that they would only change the towels once during out 8 day stay. After insisting they reluctantly did give us new towels. All in all, comparing this experience to previous stays in the Süd Tirol Italy, the price is on par with the Italians, however the food and the level of professionalism and service oriented organisation lags far behind the Italians.

Sehr schönes familiäres Hotel. Toller Infiniti-Pool, Sauna und Ruheräume. Gutes Essen, sehr nachhaltig. Mitten im Ort trotzdem ruhige Lage, 300m zur Bushaltestelle. Wunderschöne, nach Holz duftende Zimmer, tolle innenarchitektonische Ideen. Wir waren rundum zufrieden und kommen wieder.

Nach einer ausgesprochen erfreulichen Urlaubswoche im Januar 2023 hatten wir 2024 für die gleiche Zeit gebucht. Wegen Krankheit mussten wir auf Mitte Februar verschieben. Der "gewaltige" Preis in der Hochsaison schreckte uns weniger als die vorgefundene Situation. Das eigentlich ruhige, von der Eigentümerfamilie straff und umsichtig geführte Biohotel, das sie auf ihrer Website selbst als "luxuriös" tituliert, war vollkommen mit Menschen überfrachtet. Das betraf den Speiseraum, die Aufenthaltsräume UND den Wellnessbereich! Woran es lag? Wir fanden es zu spät heraus. Alle Mieter von Ferienwohnungen desselben Eigentümers nutzten den Wellnessbereich, bevölkerten den Außenpool und nahmen Mahlzeiten im Haupthaus ein. Schön für sie, anstrengend für uns, die wir einen wirklich hohen Preis für wenige Tage Ruhe und Entspannung im hochgelobten Biohotel zahlen mussten. Mit der guten Erfahrung des letzten Jahres hatten wir Vertrauen, das in dieser Form fehl am Platze war. Lobend erwähnen möchten wir aber doch das ausgezeichnete Frühstück und das sehr gute Abendessen, die wirklich geschmackvolle Einrichtung des Hotels und - bei angemessener Belegung - Wohlfühlatmosphäre sowie den sehr engagierten Service der Mitarbeiter.

Das Oswalda ist einfach ein wunderbarer Ort. Klein, familiär und trotzdem mit dem gewissen Wohlfühlcharakter. Wir hatten das Glück, noch ganz spontan ein Zimmer für zwei Nächte zu ergattern und konnten uns wunderbar erholen. Das Oswalda ist kein typisches Familienhotel - und dennoch fühlten sich unsere Kinder (7 und 10) jederzeit und überall herzlich willkommen. Sie durften im Wellnessbereich sogar in den einen der zwei schönen Ruheräume und haben das sehr genossen. Inklusive schöner Teebar ;-). Der Wellness- und Poolbereich ist wunderschön gemacht und steht einem "grossen" Viersterne-Hotel in nichts nach. Das Frühstücksbuffet war wunderbar, die Bedienung sehr charmant. Nur beim Abendessen (wir bestellten jeweils vegetarisch) hätten wir uns etwas kleinere Portionen, dafür etwas vielfältiger angerichtete Teller gewünscht. Dafür waren die Aufstriche und das leckere Brot vorab eine Wucht!!! Unser Hund war ebenfalls willkommen. Er durfte nicht in den Speisesaal (was wir vollkommen verstehen!), dafür konnten wir ihn danach noch für den Absacker im liebevoll gestalteten Käsekeller-Spielraum dazu holen. Sehr familiäres Hotel, welches das Traditionelle mit neuem Design gut kombiniert hat. Wellness ist auch mit 2 Saunen, 1 Dampfbad und dem Aussenpool mit 32Grad top. Zimmer im Dachgeschoss sind sehr gemütlich und mit Holzboden. Hunde willkommen. Die Lage ist perfekt. 5 min ins Zentrum , aber dennoch sehr ruhig gelegen .

Wunderbares Hotel in dem wir ein paar sehr entspannende Tage verbracht haben. Sehr freundliche und entgegenkommende Gastgeber und Personal. Das Hotel lässt keine Wünsche offen und alles ist bis ins kleinste Detail durchdacht. Schifahrer können dank der nahegelgenen Bushaltestelle sämtliche Skigebiete des Kleinwalsertals probleemlos erreichen.

Das Oswalda Hus ist wirklich ein Geheimtipp. Herzlich und familiär geführt -mit allem was man für einen gelungenen Urlaub braucht. Die Zimmer sind groß und geschmackvoll - ebenso das Restaurant. Tolles Frühstücksbuffet, Kuchen am Nachmittag nach der Wanderung oder dem Skifahren und abwechslungsreiches Abendessen vegetarisch oder mit Bio-Fleisch. Die Sauna und der Pool sind zu jeder Jahreszeit eine Bereicherung. Im Sommer ist das Bergbahn-Ticket inklusive - das macht das Wandern abwechslungsreich. Das Oswalda Hus vereint Moderne und Tradition - und ist dabei einfach ein Platz zum Wohlfühlen und Erholen.

Wunderschönes kleines familiäres Schmuckstück mit toller Küche. Frühstücksbuffet lässt keine Wünsche offen und beim Abendessen wird auch jeder Gästewunsch erfüllt. Spa und saunabereich sowie der neue Aussenpool sind richtig klasse und erlauben entspannte Stunden nach dem Wandern oder Skifahren. Gerne wieder vielleicht im Sommer 2023. :-)
