Blanes|0.99km from Playa de Blanes
Theres no denying the staff at front desk are receptive, attentive, friendly and helpful. The hotel is clean. The location is superb. The dining area allows you to look over at the promenade....But I wish there were some regulation / international standard with the star rating of a hotel, especially when you chose the hotel based on star rating. I would not consider Hotel Horitzo to be a 4 star hotel, compared to other hotels I've stayed at ranging from 2 star -5 star. This is due to the sheer fact that the rooms were fairly basic. A mini fridge with no snacks, drinks or appliances. There is also no water readily available for guests throughout the day. Just breakfast and maybe dinner. Upon that said, there is a small supermarket called Condis 3 minutes from the hotel, as soon as you exit the hotel, immediate right up the road till the zebra crossing left on the right. . Not far at all. The price of the hotel is based on its location. Directly across the beach. That's it's main selling point. Some rooms may come with a power shower, very impressive others do not. If you do not get a beach front view you most likely will end up looking at the local area ( residents flats). Not picturesque at all. The variety for breakfast is satisfactory. Quite limited. There are few restaurants along the beach front, dotted around the beach front which enables you to experience Blanes day and night. Blanes is a lovely place for couples, family and the elderly. I'd have had my expectations matched if it said 3 stars.

If you want 5 star luxury I’m afraid you have to pay for it. We’ve just got back from a cheap week at the hotel Esplendid and can say it does what it says on the tin. Good bits. Air con worked fine, Pool area is nice, Location is great, it’s very clean the rooms are done daily and towels swapped every day if you ask, Breakfast was ok, you can hire a hairdryer for €5 for the week & a deposit for the tv remote is required. Not so Good bits. We had a pool facing room (which you want) but there is a night club across the road so if you can ask for a pool facing room, so you can sleep. A big one this for some people this hotel doesn’t serve Alcohol at all. They don’t mind you bringing your own in which we found the be a lot cheaper €1.20 for a large cold beer from the supermarket across the road. The pool bar food wasn’t very good. Overall it is what it is a little dated and in need of a bit of TLC but we had a good time they don’t have a lot of British guests mostly French and Spanish. But that was fine and the no booze rule keeps it quite at nights. Don’t be put off if your on a budget you’re going to enjoy it . Blanes is lovely if you want a mad holiday Lloret de Mar is 5 miles away .

It is generally good but there are areas that need reform, stairs (I have dropped them several times because the lift is usually busy) access to the pool, the dining room (it is small, without windows, having another much larger attachment room). The hotel is very comfortable and very comfortable. The hotel is very comfortable and comfortable. The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable. The hotel was very comfortable and the hotel was very comfortable. In short, the hotel is good for a few days, but sincerely for me it doesn't have the top 4 stars category.

We were made to feel very welcome from the moment we arrived at the venue by the friendly, helpful receptionist. Our apartment overlooked the beach and we watched the sunrise every morning. We had a maintenance issue with the apartment when we arrived which reception sorted very quickly together with sourcing a corkscrew for us on Christmas Day. We had friends staying nearby who were also able to join us in our apartment.

This hotel fulfills all of your requirements, warm bed, hot shower, breakfast is included. It's a great bang for your buck kind of place, especially if you're passing through. The staff is very nice and the rooms are very clean. However, I don't recommend it for a longer stay for several reasons. For one, there are no refrigerators in the room. This forces you to eat out for all your meals. The furniture itself is a little on the older side. The rooms are an OK size, I did wish they were a little bigger. There is no view of the ocean from anywhere (except maybe the rooftop but it was closed while I was there), no fault of their own, just an observation. Also, the rooms are not soundproof. You can hear your neighbors do all kinds of things and their crying children. Overall, at that affordable price and with the kind and accommodating staff, it is worth it.
