Travel with a group of friends to Beppu but only 4 of us decided to stay at Amanek for 2 nights. This was the best decision ever as we were closed to the JR station, eateries, Tokiwa shopping mall, Donki and the beach were within walking distance. Only few staff could speak English. Those who speak Japanese only also try their best to serve the guest. I am impressed by how clean and new the whole hotel is. Best of all, I love the free flow of juices & beverages. You could also do take away in the UCC coffee disposible cup. Love the choice of either western or local breakfast with free flow of side dishes. I am surprised by how big the bedroom is and spacious bathroom. The gym equipment tho basic, are new & in good condition. The onsen is clean & modern & I love the warm rooftop pool with an awesome view! Amanek is thoughtful to provide guest with a basket to hold all your onsen needs. Upon check out, I was overcharged for my 2 days of breakfast. The staff was quick to rectify the problem & refunded me on the spot. Yes, would definitely stay in Amanek again in my next visit to Beppu! Thank you for the awesome stay!

My wife booked this hotel for us for our weekend in Beppu. We selected this hotel based on the price, parking, and location. It is within walking distance to the train station and down town area. They have parking here which is a plus. The staff was very friendly, the individual helping us spoke great English which made check in/out easy. They have breakfast here, because of COVID, it was not buffet style, but the trays were nice and the food was great. The rooms were perfect, they were modern, spacious, and had everything we needed, plus the bed was comfortable. Overall, we had a great stay here.

It's so quiet. It's like going to a Japanese B&B. There is a hot spring, but you have to rent a car. It's about the same as a Jr. Station. I estimate it will take 20 minutes to get there. The staff are friendly and the price is right. It's just that you don't have to take a shower. It's a traditional hotel with a sense of security.

We were met by polite and efficient staff who could converse in English. We were given a tour of the place when we checked in. Bicycles, indoor and outdoor slippers are free to use. Free parking is available on site. Our en-suite family room was very spacious, 2 double beds in the living room/ kitchen and a separate room with 2 single beds. Everything was very clean and the beds were firm and comfortable. No check out procedure required. There’s Don Quijote about 2 buildings away. I’m definitely coming here again when I next visit!!!

This time I stayed in combination with Harmony Land (if you go the next day, turn left and turn U). There are many rooms as it is, so it may not be suitable for those who want the quietness of adults. It may be good for a lively but OK group, a group that likes alcohol.
