Ocean Blue is a medium size resort. Not small. Not huge like Iberostar. However it has lots of fine dining (5) onsite just like the huge ones. Their beach is perfect with lots of free cabana like shaded seating. Only surprise was our scuba shop was onsite but actual dive boat was 2 resorts down the beach at Iberostar. A 10 minute walk, no problem. This side of island a bit choppy for diving. Smoother on South side. Resort super clean, safe and friendly staff. More young families and older couples. No Spring Break teens! Highly recommend this resort for families.

Great location on one of the best beaches in Punta Cana, beautiful landscaping, good and large pools, the square where the themed restaurants are located is simply beautiful, each restaurant has its own character and best of all, you don't need to book in advance!
Point to improve: at the end of the week, there was an excess of guests, there was no food at all meals and the hall was very busy. The food is also quite simple.

I’m never one to leave reviews but it seemed needed. My partner and I came here for 5 days. We purchased a junior deluxe room. It was not very clean and incredibly hot. The a/c wouldn’t go below 68*. The bathroom had no ventilation so everything smelt like mildew by the morning if towels were damp and left to dry. The resort doesn’t allow food outside the cafeteria so no snacks by the pool. Majority of the resort seemed to be under constant construction and unorganized. We would be told to make a reservation then be stuck waiting outside with 30 other people with the same reservation time for about 25 minutes. Some of the staff was nice but this was our first time here and no one took the time to explain to us that they had an online guide or directions. We were just given a map (with no actual information) and 2 cards (turns out it’s for towels, that’s quite a walk on to the beach just to come back to the pool) and our bracelets. My partner and I constantly smiled and were as polite as could be but we still were met with some staff that were quite rude and called us names at points to our faces thinking we didn’t know the meaning. We constantly tipped people as well but when the bell boy came to bring our bags when we arrived he dropped of the bags and stated “so where is my tip? With his hand out to my partner” assuming we wouldn’t tip. For the money I’d say it’s not worth it. I’ve been to plenty nicer resort's in the DR for about the same amount of money.

The staff here were fantastic! Entertaining, kind and excellent service. The aesthetic of the resort is phenomenal! It’s beautiful, they keep the ground clean well kept. There is a few things that need updates and repairs, but you can tell the property is loved by the people staying here. The amenities were great!

I would rate the Resort a 7/10. All the Restaurants were Amazing/Delish , throughout the resort there were things that were a bit rundown or broken ( Bowling Alley Lanes, Tennis Courts). The Bartenders were Spot On and used whatever alcohol you asked for and made Exceptional Drinks. The Maids did come by, but Mediocre cleaning was done!!! The Resort Grounds were kept clean , and Beautiful. The Pool and Beaches were 10/10…. Wish there were more water Sports on site but Sea Kayaking was a Blast!!!
