Four Seasons Resort Bali at Jimbaran Bay

Jimbaran Bali|0.15km from Puri Temple Hill
While the position is perfect and the service is wonderful, I didn't enjoy my stay at Four Seasons Jimbaran. Out door pool area is lovely, however the cabana is super hot as the fans are very old and do not work properly, hence unable to work outside and enjoy the pool area. Water fountain does not turn off at night, and you can hear it in bed. Dinner at Sundara was very underwhelming, again the fans not working and very hot and uncomfortable. Staff give you the menu and walk away, not explaining the menu whatsoever, and the print is extremely hard to read, with very dim lighting and no menu clip torch provided. I chose my favourite dish (Its why I reserved this restaurant) and we chose other items off the menu which sounded amazing. When the waitress came to take the order, the dish that I came down to the restaurant for, she said ”unavailable” !!! They never mentioned this when we received our menu's and then we had to change our meal plans all together. So we just ordered the selection of meats and salads (very expensive) and sat down disappointed, as I would have chosen the other restaurant or the buffet had I have known the Stracciatella/Burrata was not available. Now Burrata is a very easy cheese to make, and we were left puzzled as to why they did not advise us when we where given our menu's, but how they could not prepare (during the day) such an easy dish. When our meals arrived, they where just average. Not much love and care taken in the taste and presentation. Some meats where overcooked and other meats where tasteless. Pricing for the mini bar and room service was super extravagant, then 21% service charge added when you receive the bill. So one small bottle of bintang will cost you approximately $11.00 Australian Dollars. so 5 bintangs for approximately $55.00 AUD. Now that is a joke. Food pricing, even more of a joke. Bathrooms nice, but small. No water in the bathrooms to brush your teeth, however in bedroom only. Water pressure was BAD and like just trickling. I like strong water pressure, as hygiene is important to me. Very minimal space for 2 suitcases, so space for the clothing was under par. Pool bar / cafe is extremely hot and not enjoyable. Again, fans need replacing and not working correctly. No pillow menu beside bed, so unsure if they offer this. Didn't like the pillows that where in the room - but that's my preference and others may be happy with them. They still use the power points in the drawers! So must have drawers open to use the power outlets. Streaming on the TV does not work with any devices, so unsure why they have this option. I ended up using my iPad to watch movies. At breakfast, my team was served cold, (English Breakfast) and the loose cut tea, was to finely cut, hence ended up in my cup. I did not drink, as the temperature was cold. For 12,000,000.00 Indonesian Rupiah a night, I felt ripped off and will never return to four seasons Jimbaran. Far better properties for a quarter of the price around the four seasons. My rating 2 stars.

Breakfast: There are quite a lot of types, free breakfast, but believe me, when you stay for a few more days, any delicious breakfast will feel boring and I just want to go home for Chinese food. It is highly recommended to bring your own food. It ’s really a bit more. Balinese food is a taste! Hotel location: This area is a hotel with a convenience store next to it. It is more convenient for daily use. The hotel has its own car, but it has not been used. We are all renting a car, so I do n’t know if it is convenient to take a taxi around the hotel. Parking lot: There is parking lot, not much Hotel itself: nice environment, large yard, very quiet, there is a small swimming pool in the yard, there is also a communal swimming pool. Fruits are delivered daily and they are fresh. Hygiene is also good, but the water here should be treated with seawater, a bit salty, and the skin is uncomfortable after taking a bath. This point needs to be focused, and everyone must consider it. There are disposable toiletries, but it is better to bring your own towels. The waiters were very welcoming, but they did n’t speak Chinese and communicated in poor English throughout the trip. Fortunately, I booked a chartered tour guide that spoke Chinese and let the guide communicate when I checked in. Not suitable for poor English, free travel without a guide. But if you have a tour guide or have passed CET-4, it should be OK

The overall environment of the hotel is very beautiful, with complete supporting facilities. The sea view room I originally booked had a mediocre view. I added money to upgrade the full sea view villa. As expected, the view is very good, but the price is a bit expensive, but the service of the hotel is very good, and I also sent local fragrances when I left the store, which is very good grateful.

Pro: Decent price. You can book direct at 700k with additional perks. Location is good. Size of the villa is decent. Size of the pool is very nice! Looks very well maintained & staff are great! Con: Not a big fan of the design, feels more like a house. The bathroom has nice elegant design but the designs of the living & bedrooms just don’t blend in. Would we come back? Very, very disappointing! Hard to believe so many positive reviews to which the place bears no relationship. Arrived late, night receptionist spoke virtually no English. Wanted to photocopy my credit card! Managed to order breakfast. Next morning breakfast was cold and poor quality. Next day order was wrong and had to be replaced. Stopped ordering, went next door after that. Safe was not open on arrival. There are no TV channels, only Netflix and Amazon , if you have an account. No table to eat at, could only eat off plate on knees. Tried dinner one night, only half the items available. Not enjoyable. Room looks very tired, needs decorating badly (probably would be!) Everything is of cheapest quality, small examples, very flimsy toilet paper, towels. There were no pool towels, not supplied. Had to request extra cleaning of bathroom. Location is not good. Long walk to beach down a very steep hill. Too steep to walk back, had to taxi. Roof terrace inaccessible for anyone with mobility problems. GO ELSEWHERE!

My friend and I can to Bali for 2 weeks and stayed mostly in a yoga retreat. We wanted somewhere close to the airport and the beach so we could get our flight easily. We booked Asai Villas staying in the superior option. We arrived later in the evening about 10pm and the Villa staff were very accommodating to this. The security guy showed us to the Villa and helped with our really heavy bags. We were absolutely blown away when entering the Villa and it was far better than we had expected. The Villa has the wow factor, spacious, modern, light and airy. We had breakfast ordered to the room each morning and the ladies who delivered this came with a warm smile. Breakfast was delicious!! We also made use of the Spa facilities too, which were again very modern and the treatments were lovely. The beach is a 10 minute walk down hill and we had a lovely dinner in one of the many fish restaurants down there. It's up hill to get back but fine to walk. We also asked for late check out again the staff were very accommodating to this and arranged it really easily. 🌼 Thank you for a beautiful stay!

Introduction to Bali

Bali, an Indonesian island known for its forested volcanic mountains, iconic rice paddies, and stunning beaches, is the country's most famous tourist destination. Filled with ancient temples, rich arts and crafts, and a vibrant nightlife, Bali offers a kaleidoscopic blend of natural beauty and cultural depth.

Tips for Travelling to Bali

Bali's main international gateway is Ngurah Rai International Airport, located near the capital city, Denpasar. Travelers can explore Bali through taxis, local buses, bicycles, motorbikes, or even hired cars.

The official currency is the Indonesian Rupiah (IDR). Most hotels and restaurants accept credit cards, but having some cash on hand for local markets and smaller venues is recommended. Indonesian is the official language, but English is widely spoken in tourist areas.

As for visas, many nationalities can enter Indonesia visa-free for up to 30 days, but it's best to check before your journey.

Popular Attractions in Bali

Bali offers a wealth of cultural and natural attractions. Explore the ancient temples of Tanah Lot and Uluwatu, or immerse yourself in the artistic heritage of Ubud, Bali's cultural heart. Visit the Tegalalang Rice Terraces and the Sacred Monkey Forest Sanctuary for unique experiences.

Bali's beaches are equally enticing, with Kuta Beach, Seminyak Beach, and Nusa Dua Beach offering vibrant beach life. Surfing enthusiasts will love the waves at Uluwatu and Canggu.

Weather, Best Time to Visit, and What to Wear

Bali enjoys a tropical climate with temperatures fairly consistent year-round. The best times to visit are during the dry season, from April to October. Bring lightweight, breathable clothing, a hat, and sunscreen to protect from the sun. Also, remember to dress modestly when visiting temples.

Choosing Your Ideal Hotel in Bali

For luxury beachfront accommodation, consider the Legian Bali or the W Bali in Seminyak. In Ubud, the Hanging Gardens of Bali offers a unique luxury experience with its Instagram-famous infinity pool.
