In general, I liked the hotel, beautiful hall, it looked like a museum in a way. Room was cozy, clean, spacious with balcony. Great view of swimming pool and Caspian Sea. When arrived at the hotel, young concierge met me and my friend, he was speaking good English and deserved a tip. F.O. Manager at the reception desk - Kamala was helpful, kind and provided with necessary information about hotel, good English as well. I'd also like to mention one guy, Raul, who was part of a "pool team", was very attentive to us and other guests offering drinks/food during the day. Good manners, friendly, could speak English, too. Can't say a word about SPA and room service since I did not try them. Regarding mini bar, there were only 2 bottles of water in it - quite odd. However, robes, towels, extra towels and pillows, quality hair dryer, slippers, dental kit, shampoo and that sort of stuff were provided. Light sensor on the balcony did not work. They should do something about it. Wi-fi worked fine. However, I do have a negative feedback on how breakfast was served...(was included in the room price). I did have a feeling nobody in restaurant on L-2 was expecting guests. Coffee was not included in breakfast, you did have to pay for it. I found it absolutely ridiculous. Only tea was included. Food was OK but we asked for scrambled eggs and never got them same with coffee and milk I ordered. Instead, they gave me hot chocolate...Then we ordered black coffee and fortunately it was served. If they did not have milk, they could have just let me know...Staff there was not attentive enough, and could not speak English. My advice to Sapphire Marine hotel: If you are interested in your business to thrive, you should pay attention to restaurant staff, quality of food and arrange trainings for them (English language mainly) otherwise it won't work out considering the number of tourists in Baku. In addition, coffee should be included in breakfast price.
