I was extremely upset to see a movie with nudity and a scene of a nude man and a woman having sex (AKA porn) on the lobby / breakfast room television. I was even more upset when after asking the the manager, Diana, to change the channel she came into the area and I instead of just changing the channel to something more appropriate, asked the man seated behind me if it was okay for her to change the channel as if something like that was up for a vote among guests instead of hotel policy. To say I was angry at the way she mis-handled this would be an understatement . Despite the fact I stayed at this Hampton at least a half dozen times last year or so , I won’t be returning. Keep porn off public televisions and teach managers how to deal with matters of corporate policy would be my suggestion Hampton/Hilton. Otherwise the location is good and the rooms are clean. Too bad they allow unclean programming to be played on their television in the public area. Thankfully no children were in there at the time this occurred.

Well this hotel has floored me in so many ways good and bad. Arrival/Reception After two cancelled flights and a hell of a journey from UK I couldn’t not face any bad customer service. The chap on Saturday evening (think called Jake) probably have me the best welcome I have had in any hotel globally. What an amazing young man. He made me feel happy to be here and I must say this chap talent with people needs to be recognised. Room The suite was spacious and very clean. Only downside no safe to store valuables. Pool Surprised to see holiday inn express with a pool a lovely add on. It is fine for what I wanted. Breakfast It’s free so I shouldn’t criticise. The amount of single use plastic made me sad and very disappointed that this hotel shows lack of care about the environment. Value for money Amazing value for money Now I will be back and back if only dealt with the plastic situation.

The hotel has amazing service. Loved the fact that they have live music in the restaurant/bar. It was great for my teenage daughter to enjoy it with us. Tanya at the restaurant was outstanding. She was so busy but was kind and efficient. The hotel location is great. You have all kinds of shops and restaurants within walking distance. Of course, we loved the late-night visit to the Cheesecake factory. The room was clean, well-decorated and huge compared to other hotels.

Marriott seems to be on the decline. This property looks nice from the photos. Only so so in person. First night the airconditioner made a high pitched whine and had to move rooms. Was put on the first floor only to find my room inundated with black crickets. Had to put a towel on the floor to cover the crack between the floor and the front door to try to keep them coming in. When I moved the towel out of the way in the morning to leave the room the towel Was full of black crickets. The other thing is that I will continue to post lowered reviews on properties that do not offer daily housekeeping post covid. The rates at hotels are the same pre covid but have saved money on operational costs by using Covid or labor shortages as a continuous reason. If that’s the case then pass the savings to the customer because we are not getting the same services provided for the same money. Lastly it’s a Marriott thing. Because I don’t agree with this housekeeping change I’ve been staying at other brands for the first time in over 15 years. Cheaper hotels like the Hampton Inn offer daily house keeping as do a number of other hotels. It’s becoming a primary reason on how i pick my hotels going forward. I stayed in the Hampton inn for 4 days immediately following this hotel stay and had housekeeping. This made 34 nights I have stayed in hilton brands this year due to housekeeping policies. If hotels don’t offer housekeeping then they’re just a glorified airbnb. Service gets my money and I’m almost done with this brand for trimming its housekeeping staff and still charging the same high prices they used to when we had housekeeping service.
