Consistently lovely hotel with consistently good service. The juevos rancheros I ordered and had delivered to my room were incredibly good! And the coffee was nice and strong ….. glad I asked for extra cream and sugars ! Great location near the Arboretum stores and shops at the Domain . Also close to Whole Foods, H‑E‑B grocery store, Gateway movie theater, and lots of good restaurants, many within walking distance.. Large rooms, bathroom stocked with Aveda products. (shampoo, conditioner, body wash, bar soap for hands) was a very nice touch!
The only thing I didn’t like was they have recently started charging for self parking in their uncovered lot ….. I paid $20 on 1/31/24. I don’t like that at all. Just put the price in your room rate and say free parking!

Nice hotel just was a little further out depending on the attractions you are visiting in Austin the outside restaurant / deck is pretty chilled after a long day of touring the rooms were nice and basic

Book this hotel because when I saw it on trip.com I already like it the ambiance is nice, clean and the room is big we stay there 1 night with my family I'm going to book again there on the future trip because the location is great the parking so surrounded with trees...so far so good 😊

Significant Staffing Shortage Marred My Stay.
During my recent stay at Renaissance Austin Hotel , I encountered a concerning issue that significantly impacted my experience: a severe shortage of staff. This was particularly evident in the handling of guest luggage. Regardless of a guest's physical condition, even if one is handicapped, there is absolutely no assistance available for transporting luggage to the rooms. This lack of basic service is not just inconvenient but can be a significant challenge for those who are not able to manage heavy luggage on their own.
The absence of support in this basic aspect of hospitality was both surprising and disappointing. It's a fundamental expectation that a hotel will provide necessary aid, especially in managing luggage, to ensure a comfortable and accessible experience for all guests. Unfortunately, this was not the case during my visit.
It's important to note that this was my first encounter with such an issue at Renaissance Austin Hotel. However, the experience was far from satisfactory and left a lasting negative impression. I hope the hotel management takes this feedback seriously and addresses the staffing issues to improve the experience for future guests.

I Prepaid and reserved a suite with two beds as it was to accommodate me and my son. We checked in , the front desk guy didn’t mention anything so it wasn’t until we got to the room that we discovered there was only one bed. We came a long way and also have to drive a long way back to Oklahoma so we needed the accommodations to be as planned. My son had a rough night sleeping on the sofa bed provided. I’m relying on him for part of the long drive back home and now it’ll be more of a challenge to get back safely without the proper rest. Considering we paid so much for this room the least we could expect is the basic accommodations purchased. I intend to do a chargeback and look to get a reasonable credit for this issue
