This was for us the most relaxing holiday we’ve ever had, the room was nice with a balcony and a amazing sea view, cleaning staff keep the place immaculate and work very hard, reception and check in was easy, we found all the staff to be friendly, the food was of a excellent quality and really enjoyable every day, breakfast and especially evening meal, the pool area was lovely and the views from there over the bay were amazing, the transfer time from the airport was 15 minutes, the hotel is on the edge of a nice residential area, but there’s a few restaurants and supermarkets a 2 minute walk away, the area had a nice unspoiled feel about it, overall we had a amazing time, just to note that the steps down to the bay and coming back up are a challenge and we only done that once, great hotel with good staff.

This is a lovely, family oriented hotel in a quiet elevated location overlooking the beautiful Cala n Porter beach. The staff are super friendly and attentive but never instrusive. Special mention to Rafa the barman and Isobel, Carlos and Aiden in the restaurant in this regard. The front facing rooms with seaviews were worth paying extra for. The food was plentiful and extremely good. In complaints in that regard. Yes it is a bit of an adventure to access the beach but that again was well worth it. This is a 3 star hotel and a very good one at that. I have stayed in other hotels with higher ratings that do not even come close to our experiences here. If you are looking for a decent family hotel on this beautiful island, with good food and friendly and attentive staff, then this is it.

Fantastic friendly staff. Very clean hotel. Always found something we wanted to eat for breakfast and dinner. Had entertainment on 2 nights and we really enjoyed both acts. Really lovely beach (which you can see from the hotel) the 183 steps to it were definitely worth it. Some nice bars near to the hotel as well some of which also had entertainment

Lovely hotel with great views of the beach. Hotel rooms are of a basic style but exceptionally clean. Some areas a little tired but this did by no means impact on our stay here. The staff are all cheerful and extremely helpful. Lovely pool area, again with great views of the beach, only thing lacking for us was the sound of some music playing, this was a preference of ours and not to everyone's taste. The walk to the beach was down steps (184 I think) or down a steep road obviously the same on the way back, so worth it though it's a lovely coved beach. The food in the hotel suited me and my friends, not once did we struggle to find something to eat and enjoyed every evening meal. The hotel only takes card payment but you can pay cash at reception. Drinks not particularly cheap compared to the bars around. Various bars & restaurants around the hotel within a 5 minute walk. Supermarkets also close, a few souvenir shops. If it's shopping you want Mahon is the place to go, 2O mins on the bus for 1.80 euro. The hotel had a singer on twice a week whilst we were there, both of which were of a good standard. Bars in the surrounding area also had groups/singers on twice a week. All in all a great hotel with lots of it's visitors having stayed there numerous times which says it all!

This hotel is in a great location overlooking the bay at Cala En Porter, the the staff are amazing, friendly and very helpful, breakfasts are great and altogether we had a brilliant holiday. We thought the hotel was a bit tired, beds really comfortable but floor covering needed replacing as well worn and shower was a bit dated. Hired a car and saw a lot of Menorca, I expect we will be back!

The hotel was very clean if a bit worn (cleaning going on all the time) Room 110 was just a room not a junior suite so no sofa etc the room was a good size with floor to ceiling wardrobes and mirrored doors. Sliding doors out to a small balcony with table and chairs. Sockets each side of the bed (twin pushed together) and sockets by dressing table. The bathroom was a great size with a walk in shower, plenty of room to put all your toiletries around, the hairdryer was also in the bathroom. There was a missing wood tile by the wardrobe/patio doors which could be a potential tripping hazard. There are no usb sockets so make sure to take eu adapters. The television had BBC1 and BBC2 which was really nice. Now the one thing that would stop us going back the bed, it was the worse bed we’ve ever slept on anywhere, we never had one good night sleep also the pillows were flat which didn’t help. The dining room wasn’t the biggest but we always got a table, best meal was breakfast, lovely fruit, cereals, salad, cheese, ham wonderful fresh bread and sweet pastries, the obligatory cooked breakfast was available too. Plus tea coffee water machines. The evening meal we thought didn’t have too much choice so ate salads and fish mainly, there was chips, pizza, chicken, curry which was a bit watery according to my husband and soup too but as the week progressed the choice went down oh yes and veg carrots and peas mostly. The desserts weren’t too bad for a cafeteria setting not a bad choice either. Also the drinking machines were turned off for the evening meal so you had to purchase your drink including water. The pool area was nice and clean, beds always available didn’t use the bar so can’t comment. The small beach opposite was lovely you could either use the steps, there were a lot or take the road around there is a pavement, we did both I’d say the road was gentler. €20 for 2 loungers and a shelter which we were glad to pay had it all day too(5.30) there is a shop, bar and a couple of eating places there and public toilets. The bay usually had a few boats in made for great photos, the sea wasn’t very deep and flat mostly.

Having just returned home from a one week stay here with my 15 year old daughter I woke up this morning missing it!!! From the moment we arrived we were made to feel very welcome. The staff speak English and are keen to practise! I tried to speak Spanish which often got a smile.. The hotel is spotless. The food is plentiful and we loved breakfast. Afternoons would often be spent around the pool. Plenty of loungers. During the evenings a drink or two..try the local gin and lemon drink..delicious. And, then up to the square to feed the local cats 😄 We hit the jackpot as we had a front facing room with stunning views on the second floor. I would love to return one day. I chose this hotel purposely for myself and my daughter to spend some quality time together. We felt safe, looked after, relaxed and at home. Thankyou to all the staff for our wonderful stay ❤️

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this lovely hotel recently. If you want a peaceful and relaxing break then this is the place to stay. Our room was quite spacious. On booking our only option was a twin room and we were really pleased with the choice. Everything was so very clean, linen and towels changed frequently. Beds were comfortable, the bathroom was large with twin sinks, bath and shower. Absolutely no complaints. The cleanliness followed throughout the hotel. Staff werr very friendly and attentive. The food was plentiful in the buffet style restaurant with plenty of choice. The pool area was lovely with a superb view of the bay, however I would think that during the high season finding a sun bed might be an issue but there is always the stunning beach which is just a short walk away. We paid for a safety deposit box and we were happy to do this for peace of mind. This resort isn't great for those with disabilities as there are a number of steps to navigate to get you to the beach. We went just at the very start of the season so everywhere was quiet This suited us as we wanted peace and quiet but we did hear some people complain about this. If you want a livelier holiday either go later on in the season or choose another resort. All in all we had the most beautiful holiday and are booking another week in September. Well done to Hotel Playa Azul, see you soon.

The hotel was spotlessly clean, the staff were all extremely friendly, food had good choices, lovely views of the beach from the restaurant too. Card left often offering bed change if wanted , and to leave towels on floor if fresh ones required. Overall was a very good place to stay.
