Stay Inn Cairo Hotel

I arrived at hotel and was planning to stay for 10 nights. Upon arrival I received a shocking message, that there is no reservation for me, though I have booked the trip 1,5 months ago and received a confirmation from the service provider. It was obvious that something went wrong with the booking, either on service provider side or the hotel. However, though it was past 11 PM and the issue could not be resolved immediately, the hotel refused to offer a room free of charge until they could clarify the issue. If I wouldn't have any friends in town, I would have stayed on the street in that particular night. The next days I've tried to resolve the issue, however there was no attempt from the hotel to help. The hotel reservation hotline works only until 1:30 PM and even during that time, no one was picking up the phone. If someone picks up the phone, they are not able to communicate in English. If you're not speaking Arabic, you're lost. When a friend of mine finally reached someone, the lady was super rude and didn't show any interest in helping us out. No understanding, no empathy, no professionalism. A very disappointing experience.
Holidays Express Hotel

This hotel is advertised as 4 Stars. Totally false. 2 Stars is far too much. The hotel is located in a old, dirty, small building. All furniture is very old and low quality. Small room with poor lights, damaged windows, damaged doors (cracked) and old, locks do not works. The Safety box old and needed to be changed 3 times to find one in working condition. Upon our request for a proper room we have been offered another one, bit larger but same quality and asked to pay 14 USD extra per night. The bathroom was dirty, small, with no protection for shower area, with hand washing sink old and damaged. You as customer had to ask for towels. In a real 4 stars hotel you get all kind of kits but here not even soap and towels. In a range from 1 to 10 I hardly could give 2 as mark.
Horizon Shahrazad Hotel

Coming towards the four stars and the Nile River. Nearly five hundred, this kind of facility is not worth it, it ’s better to spend dozens more to live five stars. The floor for me is short and noisy. The shower head of the bathroom is tied with a rope, and it will turn when you wash it. Either the sky ... I am also drunk ... the socket on the wall is not well connected, only the desk lamp and mobile phone and laptop are charged in turn ... Anyway ... not very satisfied ... just staying for one night just casually ...
Swiss Inn Hotel Mohandeseen

The lobby environment is quite comfortable and pleasant. There is no elevator to go to each floor. The room is neat and simple. It is just a blanket. The quilt is a little thin but can be quilt. There is no electric kettle, no slippers, no toothpaste, toothbrush, hair dryer; breakfast is extremely monotonous, no choice. Don't count on it; fortunately, fluent English at the front desk can give some reasonable advice. Parking around is very difficult to stop in the city is very blocked. Overall, this price is still decent in downtown Cairo.
