Lovely location. Friendly staff. Lovely swimming pool. quiet and peaceful. courtesy bus with timetable everyday. Bus stop bottom of hill. Supermarket across road. Breakfast good. Our room was 402 clean everyday. problem with air con fixed right away. overlooked garden surrounded palm trees. Special thanks Agkis love to here from you.(Dave & Tina). Plenty of of places to eat out try lottos was fantastic food with good staff. Is a must. We both thoroughly enjoyed our holiday felt totaly relaxed. War memorial is also worth seeing. We would definately come back in the near future.

The hotel is situated on a hillside 10 to 15 minutes walk downhill to the main street, where there are many restaurants, beach bars and tourist shops. The hotel does provide a shuttle service to the street at set times during the day. First impressions of the hotel were that the room was adequate although a little bit tired and on the small side, however the hotel grounds and public areas were very pleasant. Disappointing that a 2 Euro per day charge was levied to use the in room safe. While we expected a double room this if fact turned out to be two single beds pushed together. A fridge and a kettle was provided in the room but no tea or coffee, The mattresses were firm but comfortable and the room was cleaned daily. Breakfasts were good with plenty of choice although the breakfasting area did become quite crowded when the outside eating space was not an option owing to inclement weather. The pool area was pleasant with a small bar area, however, early season in May the pool was uninvitingly cold! All the staff were very pleasant and knowledgeable but special mention should go to the manageress who was outstandingly helpful.

Ok hotel with nice view, nice pool and nice bedrooms. One bad thing was the beds, they was really dirty and smells nasty… You can also hear the sound of the other rooms.. We heard a person snorted every night.. The breakfast was also nice, but we found hair in thee food two times… The personall was also nice, but the best one was the guy called Jim. A really good guy who drive us from the hotel to centrum with the free shuttle bus every evening. He also worked in the bar, and make the best drinks! He told us a lot of the city, and gave us tips where we should eat and shop. He was great!

Easily one of the best hotels I’ve stayed in in recent years - and especially when it comes to value for money. Our rooms seem to have been freshly decorated, and were kept adequately clean throughout our stay. Breakfast was varied and plentiful, the pool was stunning and the view from the hilltop was just wonderful. The bar menu was also filled with really tasty options for lunch and early dinner. The staff were all helpful and friendly, but I’d especially highlight Dimitris the bartender as a star of the show. Incredibly attentive, wonderful conversation and a very skilled cocktail maker, he made our stay memorable and is an excellent ambassador for the hotel. We’re already planning on coming back to this hotel soon. Don’t let yourself be put off by the walk up the hill; the shuttle service run by the hotel is brilliant, and the walk itself isn’t that bad barring one or two steeper sections.

I am currently staying here and its a great experience. Nothing is too much trouble and the views are to die for. The breakfast is great and changes a little every day. The room is clean and functional and the pool area is a great place to unwind after a day's exploring Although it is on a hill it is still located within walking distance of the best restaurants in Agia Marina and ideal for the bus into Chania or the botanical gardens. Can't really fault it for the money and would book again

Very Disapppointing! Superior Double with garden view.Half Board. We arrived very late, taken to room by receptionist who helped us carry cases - good job as there were lots of steps and no lift for most of the journey to Block 2. Plated up food left from evening meal in fridge - awful. Lucky we had soft bread left too, shame no butter. Kettle provided and 2 cups, no coffee/tea/milk and bottle of water in fridge. We kicked off our shoes and found the floor was gritty and dirty appears not been cleaned. Decided to wait and see tomorrow, maid must have cleaned it next day. The walk down the hill to the resort was ceratinly more than a mile nearer 2 it took 25 mins along a winding road with cars speeding up and down, no pavements, not well lit at night. Coutesy Bus has to be booked in advance. Safety Deposit box was in a cupboard at floor level, decided we needed to use but had to pay for this, my husband had to lay on the floor to use the safe. BathRoom was clean but dated and needed sealant re-doing. Metal toilet roll holder was loose and fell off frequently. Shelves in wardrobe had missing pegs to keep them straight so clothes tipped and slid about. Breakfast was poor not appealing, random food boiled eggs had black rings between white and yolk possibly re-heated? Toasters Juice machine, bread basket and Hot drink machine all in one corner- impossible.Evening meal was advertised as Buffet Restaurant - stayed in 2 nights and was disgusted with the food- it was cheap quality, so ate out rest of week. Cold food wasn't cold and hot food wasn't even warm. Cheap and poor quality. I think this hotel is being run on a very tight budget. Only people who make the place good are the barman Akis and Maria and Nik who helped us plan our car drive out. Apart from these 3 people the rest of the hotel staff are miserable, don't smile, are not welcoming. Toilet by the pool and in Reception, I had to ask for them to be cleaned, floors wet and no loo-paper. Scum mark around the water level in pool - asked the Jet 2 Rep about this he said they would be emptying pool at end of season to clean it. There was no evidence of on-going cleaning during the day in public areas. Really has the Pandemic been forgotten already!! Late flight home - unable to keep room on, no courtesy room offered - had to use showers by pool with tepid water to have a shower before going home. All in all poor poor poor. Jet 2 need to re-think their 3* rating. Its a buget hotel on a shoe-string, not for us I'm afraid

We have just returned from a week at this fantastic hotel and really cannot fault it. Its amazing. So to try and sum it up... Rooms...very clean, well maintained, decent space, great storage space, lovely balconies. Hotel Grounds..we were at the back of the hotel and had the lovely walk through the flowers and trees..Grounds very clean and again well maintained. Pool area very clean and lovely views over the sea. Lovely area by reception if want to have a more relaxed chill out time outside. Staff..Excellent..friendly, helpful, professional, big shout out to Aggi on the pool bar..his big smile and fun vibe was a delight to be around. Food..We were bed and breakfast amd there was always an excellent choice. I am a vegetarian and always found a good selection and veggie options are also marked with a V. We also had lunch a couple of times by the pool bar. Cretan Salads..which were excellent! We paid for dinner one evening which is gold and cold buffet style..excellent choice and excellent value. General..There is a regular bus up and down to the main area..however we often walked and the hill is fine..just more onerous when doing it in the peak sunshine but if doing it first thing or in the evening its totally fine and very enjoyable...views from hotel are lovely. So overall a fantastic hotel with fantastic staff and would definitely return!

What a fabulous find. Couldn't really fault anything. You will love it. The staff really do make it ! Cleaners, waiters, waitress and of course the best barman. They made you feel like family and were great with the kids The food at the pool was great ! And brekkie varied each day You are a fab place xx

We decided to stay in the hotel having visited Agia Marina 6 years ago and passing it every time we walked down the hill from our (then) villa. We have not been disappointed! The room is clean and has all of the facilities you need. We have a balcony with great sea views (no sun, but can’t complain). We enjoyed the walk down to the beach/ main road every day and it took only 15 minutes (20 back, uphill). Some lovely local tavernas at the bottom too. Breakfast at the hotel has been lovely each day, with far more choice than I expected and with friendly staff. The pool is lovely and serene and (in May, at least), there are plenty of sun beds to relax on. HUGE SHOUT OUT to Akis and Maria who are both so warm and friendly! And Akis’ cocktails are fantastic (highly recommend the Chocolate Martini!).
