Had the weekend with two other couples staying at Belle Vue Boutique Lodge. From the minute we walked in and were all welcomed by Liz and Steve our amazing weekend started. We were shown around the Lodge and it was more than expected. We were given a bottle of bubbles, cheese platter, box of chocolates and amazing three course dinner (which we could hardly eat... so much beautiful food) and then the next morning such a lovely breakfast. The rooms had stunning views of Lake Taupo and to a very high standard!! Would recommend this for a lovely weekend away with friends or a special night away with partner.

A stunningly beautiful lodge with some of the prettiest landscaping I have ever seen in a small hotel. This was the owners family home converted into a lodge. Our room was, large, comfortable and lovely with a wonderful view of the lake. Very well managed and the owner personally poured each guest a friendly glass of wine in the evening and recommended locations for dinner. A great location for tours of the area. Equally important were the conversations with other guests at evening happy hours and morning breakfast. No negatives of any kind. We recommend highly.

We stayed here for one night. The room was small but okay. It had a bathroom, which was good. The space was small and was only meant for sleeping overnight. It is not advisable to stay longer, except if you are looking for budget rooms.

This hotel is in a wonderful location. We could walk anywhere in town. They have great laundry facilities and the rooms are really excellent The staff were really friendly and helpful . They have done a wonderful job on the rooms, Keith a small kitchen and a good seating area. The bathrooms were first class. We would highly recommend to anyone visiting the area for the location, service and overall efficiency. The rooms was really comfortable.

Enjoyed the quietness and cleanliness of the environment, rooms were spacious, easy access to pool/spa, town and lake. We personally wouldn’t stay again. Found both beds and pull out couch beds uncomfortable glad to be home in my own bed as we all had little to no sleep. Didn’t have enough sheets and towels and no disability parks made things difficult not just for us but the disabled man in next room who we heard complaining to his wife about it. Master bed sat right under windows/curtains so sun woke me up at 5 and was a draft on my head. Wasnt horrible but wasn’t our cup of tea.

Good location, very clean and spacious rooms. Have stayed before in room with partial view so this time paid for the front room with premium view. Unfortunately there was a circus right over the road that blocked pretty much everything. The reception wasn't really interested which was a shame, personally if I owned it I would have at least refunded back to the partial view rate. A very tidy and clean establishment.Room had very recently been refurbished and decorated. This was a last minute booking over Easter Weekend and a great find, location is lakefront with good views and within easy walking distance of town centre. Staff are friendly and helpful, absolutely no complaints and will return asap.

There are some car hotels, right next to Lake Taupo, the scenery does not say, the car stops at the door of the room, very convenient, very suitable for self-driving travel. The rooms are compact but well-equipped, cooking and bathing are not a problem. It is very close to the supermarket and the place to eat, and there are two or three intersections by car. The New Zealand big sister at the front desk was very enthusiastic and stayed with milk.

I didn't plan to come to Taupo... I just came from Hobbiton... I booked a room at the last minute... My friend was very satisfied... There was no place in the plan... If I didn't have to return to Auckland to return the car the next day... I would have stayed one more day... Enjoy this room~ The room is not big... It's suitable... But the key point is when the sun sets 🌇, you lie in the room and watch it. You drove all day... This view is immediately worth it... When we checked in, there was an elderly lady, very nice, and in the afternoon, it seemed to be a Chinese man, both very friendly. He gave me milk🥛... Not bad
