The location was especially good. The facility felt old, but it felt like they took great care to keep it clean. Breakfast was also good. You can feel the noise from the cleaning staff from 6-7 a.m. the day after your stay. I went out in the morning after 9 o'clock, and they even rang the bell and asked if I wanted to clean or go out. Of course, they are friendly and provide towels and water, but... I have never seen an employee ring the bell in the morning while staying at a hotel. From the next day, I was worried, so I woke up earlier, put away my luggage, ate breakfast quickly, and went out quickly. On the second day, I didn't ring the bell, but it was at the door as expected. It makes the guests very anxious. Haha, other than that, it's good.

Lovely spacious apartment in fantastic location. Staff very attentive and great service. Excellent breakfast. It was great to have own washing machine and dryer as we stayed 6 nights with very hot weather. Great vale. Highly recommend.

We thought the room was extremely small and dusty, certainly not the cleanest. The hotel does make up for it with really fantastic service (specially from the people who manage the meals) and a fantastic breakfast and afternoon tea combination that will keep you satisfied for sure. As for the facilities, the rooftop doesn't look super great in person and the way-too-small pool's protective glass panels need a clean. Location is pretty great but it's definitely balanced out by the small size of the room.

I experienced tons of issues with staff .That mostly came from very low or mostly zero understanding of English. Also technical issues such as i moved rooms twice due to the room phones or Tv did not work. (So stayed in 3 rooms in one week, they did upgrade me though, to room with a window) Noting when I first came to bathroom the floor looked extremely dirty sport all over the floor, I think staff must have forgotten to clean, first I felt discouraged so I took the free toothbrush put soap on it to see if could removed the hundreds of spots, I could not, so I guess someone spilled chemical or something that the tiles could not “resist”? Later I saw other bathroom floors look exactly the same, so I was right, some fault with the tiles they used, cuz two other bathrooms I saw later had other floor tiles with no issues. Also it happen a few times we ask staff to clean room and they forgot it? Sometimes they just come give water or toilet paper and forget water & coffee 🧐 First room I stay in Tv and Netflix worked fine , but room phone dead, next room TVs Netflix out of order as well as room phone dead. A “technician” was sent to room (Zero English) didn’t fix the issues Change room again , the staff then told us that Netflix has not worked for 1-2 years in hotel (despite it did work in first room🤣) Third room also issues with Tv Netflix YouTube “technician” came and had zero as in ZERO English also Zero knowledge how to fix Netflix, did not understand simple word “Log out” he also unable to fix the TV problems. Finally I fixed it my self. More issues: Pool very unkept very green , pool area dirty and spa pool no bobbles? Pool was later cleaned up👏 There were many small ants in room on 10 floor. I asked 3 times for iron and was promised they bring one to my room, it never came so my wife picked it up herself. The two managers I meet Amanda & Ken speaks perfect English and are trying to be very helpful, but their job gets impossible with their poorly or un trained staff. I would recommend you arrange free English classes for general staff if you wanna attract more foreigners. I will publish my final review after checking out😘🧐

I booked this accommodation thinking it is a hotel but I would say more serviced apartments with reception. Compared to other hotels I’ve stayed in Vietnam you don’t get the whole “hotel experience” if this is what you are looking for. Having said this the location is great, 5minutes walk to the market, 10-12mins to to Bui Vien and within walking distance to local attractions. The rooms are very spacious we had a seating area, dining table, hob and microwave (not that this got any use). The windows are not glazed so you could hear noise from outside. Luckily the window was not facing the the main road so wasn’t too bad but I did get woken by some locals shouting in the street as they do. There not much soundproofing from the main door and people were talking loudly in the corridor first thing in the morning. I found this be an issue a lot, where I stayed in Vietnam. The one thing I was disappointed with was the advertisement of “free minibar”. I stayed the previous week in a hotel in Ho Chi Minh the precious week that said the same thing and there were a selection of drinks and snacks which were replenished daily. At this location there were 2 bottles of water, a can of coke and a red bull. Being two of use there wasn’t even enough for one each. I would 2 bottles of red wine a ceros the room and thought this could be the mini bar also. NO, I was wrong after checking with reception. I had one coke thinking they would at least replenish this but again, NO they didn’t. Minibar BIG disappointment.

In my opinion, the highlight of Sky Gem Hotel Ben Thanh is the rooftop swimming pool. This is truly a wonderful experience to see the entire city from above. The space is quiet and airy, helping me relax and relieve stress effectively. Every afternoon, I often float in the cool water and watch the sunset, feeling truly relaxed and peaceful. Besides, I am also very satisfied with the service here. My room is spacious and has a modern design combined with a glass bathroom. I felt very comfortable and relaxed during my stay here. The hotel's service is also very good, from the reception to the restaurant, all are very professional and friendly. My stay here really made me feel satisfied and I will definitely come back.

I book family room, two big queen bed size during my husband birthday. Staff are all very nice and polite. Forever help you carry your luggage or open the hotel entrance door for you. Never go to rooftop as my room already has big bathub. Channel TV only 3 in English and the rest is in Vietnam. Desk a little bit of ants but every i ask the housekeeping staff clean it up. Decent 3 star hotel. Value for the money. 5 minutes walk to Ben Thant Market. 7minutes walk to Malaysia Street.

I arrived a little late, but they upgraded my room to a double room, so it was nice to be able to rest in a more comfortable room for a day. Towels and bottled water were plentiful, and Ben Thanh Market was close, so I went there often to eat. The downside was that the water in the sink didn't drain well.

Sunny Guest house is spotlessly clean and in a perfect position. It’s very quiet for sleeping despite being very central as it’s down an alleyway. The air conditioning is very efficient and the shower hot. We were helped with organising bus tickets even for our future plans - above and beyond assistance. If you are considering to rent an apartment from Glenwood or use their Resort, stop here unless you want to pay $300 USD a month in electricity. I am an American living in Ho Chi Minh for 2 years. This place took total advantage of me and my fiance during the hardcore lockdown in Ho Chi Minh in Septmber of 2021. During the no go outside order by the Vietnamese government this place forcrmed us to come outside (by turning off our electricity and water) they forced us to cross the street to pay our rent and our Electric bill which was a 7 million electric ($309 USD) bill which is 5 times higher than the average electric bill. Check back soon and I will be attaching a link to our YouTube video showing how Shady that place is. When we came across the street to pay the bill we were also filming and they told us to turn off our cameras. We refused, in my experience the only people who don't want to be caught on film are those who are doing something wrong. The YouTube video will also show our electric meter spinning like crazy, so fast you cannot even see the black marker on the turning wheel. They installed a new electric meter in our unit and you can hear it grinding the gears at times because it can't even go that fast. They forced us to pay a six million electric bill the next month because we could not leave due to the hardcore lockdown and Ho Chi Minh. Avoid Glenwood Residence and Apartments in Glenwood Resort at all cost. Greenwood was given the opportunity to refund all of our electricity except for an average bill to avoid a one-star review. They failed to heed the warning. I am also doing negative reviews on all Resort sites next. The had the chance to do the right thing, return my full deposit and all my electric charges except a fair amount, they declined. This review will their Karma.

Just a few steps away from the lively ben thanh market. Wonderful night life surrounded by many cafes, massage places and good food options. There are traffic lights in this area making it easy and safe to cross the streets. But disappointed that the hotel lobby isn't air conditioned and that 1 of the 2 showers in each of the connecting rooms doesn't come with hot water. Only 2 small bottles of water free, it wasn't clear and they charged for the rest :/

The Odys is a tricky one for us to review. Overall we stayed 3 nights during our trip, 2 nights together then a break and a further night after a trip to the mekong. The hotel itself is quite nice.. nothing really wrong with it as such, the rooms were clean and had everything in there like all the others we've stayed in during our time in Vietnam. I wouldn't really call the Odys a ”Boutique” hotel but that's a matter of opinion.. but where we feel the Odys was a let down in this regard was that ”personal” feeling. Earlier in our trip we stayed in many places and all of them without question made us feel like we'd been before.. and in the case of multiple nights and multiple visits indeed the return welcome felt very personal (Bonsella.. you are the best in this regard during our trip!). The staff in reception were pleasant and polite but but it did seem very ”clinical” in approach? Maybe the city thing? But in our opinion it was a little too sterile feeling for a ”boutique” hotel. Breakfast in the hotel was fine, with the usual options available but the staff in the restaurant were our least preferred of the whole trip (anywhere in Vietnam), they were disorganised to say the least.. There were plenty of them around but service wasn't exactly the best. We did take advantage of one of the offers for the restaurant one night, booking a table by the side for a good city view. When we arrived that evening we find that the table we booked had been given to someone else, and in fact there was no mention of our booking. We waited and before long another suitable table became available. After eating we got the bill, and queried why the offer wasn't applied. We were told in order to get the offer we needed to book a table beforehand, this was by the very same person who led us to the table after finding out our booked table had already been given to someone else. It was sorted out, but this is just one of many examples of the staff not being the best. Oddly enough it was also the only place in Vietnam where we struggled with staff not being able to speak English (very few seemed to?), this took us by surprise as even in the remote locations in the north this didn't seem an issue. So In summary, we think this hotel is ok for the night, but that boutique feel is not there, its much more of a large hotel kind of feeling.

After you go in, you can ask the people inside. #酒店服务# I don’t know if it’s a communication error or how, my girlfriend is Vietnamese. We rented a motorcycle in the evening. At night, the hotel’s people said that they would be next to the door and saw security. The result was not the hotel. Next is a lot of trouble, as follows ↓ #停# The hotel does not provide parking service, and did not give us a clear explanation. As a result, the next morning, the car was “lost” (there was also a delay in going to the consulate). Finally, at noon, it was found that the so-called urban management was dragging the car away. And did not leave any notes. The car was also rented, and the penalty was paid. The car was not taken back, and finally the car owner was asked to handle it. It’s really a mistake, it’s speechless... I want to cry without tears. If there is no such thing, I would recommend this homestay.

We spent our first two nights in Vietnam here. Staff were very friendly and eager to help (even through the language barrier). Rooms were a little dated but comfortable nonetheless. A/C worked very well, bathroom was fully stocked with toiletries and the free breakfast was delicious! A little far from the tourist/sightseeing area but was very close to a couple of local busses that took you there (for approx 30 cents Canadian) and there was a ton to explore and experience on the doorstep. Would definitely go back again!

I stayed there for 4 days and 3 nights... Maybe it's because it's been around for a while... When I called Grab, the drivers didn't seem to know the location. I always go out and look for it ㅠㅠ The view is so good I think there was a lack of explanation about the facilities that can be used. There is a swimming pool in front of the entrance and in the building next door, but I didn't use it because I didn't bother to inquire. There's also a fitness center. I had a good rest~~

Pros: Lovely rooms (two-bedroom) which had everything you needed. Nicely decorated and felt upscale. Hotel was slightly off the main road and rooms were quiet. HCMC roads are busy and noisy!! Small but clean gym, small playground for kids (indoor and outdoor). Pool is big and clean. Restaurant area next to pool. Lobby and reception area is very nice, smells good and has a luxurious feel. Location was good, near the zoo. Cons: only one: breakfast. Vietnamese food is very good but this was the hotel’s weakest link. Limited choice and not that delicious, if you got there after 8.30am almost all the warm food was cold. Hope this can be improved.

We were greeted upon arrival by the staff who were lovely and provided us with welcome drinks. The check in process was smooth however our room was not ready so we were unable to check in. They kept our luggage for us and we went and sat by the pool. Don't be fooled by the pictures of the pool it is actually extremely small with only 6 sunbeds around the actual pool area. Half of the pool is under the shade. There is another terrace upstairs with sunbeds but you are away from the pool and some parts shaded. We stayed in a family suite which was extremely spacious and clean. The breakfast had a good selection and catered to everyone there. The location is roughly around a 10 minute walk from Bui Vein Walking street which isn't too bad once you navigate the traffic. Due to the size of Ho Chi Minh it is extremely difficult to get your bearings especially if you are only staying a few days. Overall I would stay in this hotel again.

The beds and the bathroom is also very good. I can’t say anything bad about this place. The owner and his staff are doing everything they can. I can definitely recommend this place for your trip to Saigon :-)

RiverGate, the location of the hotel apartment is great, has been staying many times, located in the 4th county, crossing the bridge is the bustling Saigon 1 county, there is 7-11 and supermarket downstairs, there is a swimming pool and gym, the manager of Zhou Apartment service is great, and there are many room types to choose from, This time I stayed in 4 1 bedroom 1 living room 1 bathroom 1 kitchen type rooms. Although it is a pity that my friends are not on the same floor, the service is really great. There are 2 or 3 room types in the house type. Clean and airy room. Geographical location, easy to get to places. The owner is enthusiastic and friendly. The staff guides meticulously and thoughtfully.
