Taichung Railway Station/Miyahara Dessert Store Taichung|0.33km from downtown
This hotel is located near to the Taichung TRA train station (5min walk distance). Hotel is neat and tidy. KuoKwang bus stop is also nearby (literally 1min walk) that will take you directly to Sun Moon Lake. Despite not close to any of the night market or malls, I found it easy to just catch bus opposite the hotel to get there. I am happy with this hotel and will return again. Thanks.FromSGD 29

The location is great — it’s close to Taichung Train Station, which is very convenient. All the staff were friendly and welcoming. They greeted us warmly every time we passed by, which honestly felt quite impressed — their attitude is definitely a big plus!
However, when we entered the room, there was an unpleasant smell, possibly due to the carpet or the aging condition of the hotel — you can definitely feel its age. A simple renovation would make a big difference.
They provide a very basic breakfast every morning — mainly eggs, toast and basis ********* breakfast.
Once again, the staff’s attitude really stands out and adds value to the overall experience. Without it, I might consider staying elsewhere for next visit in Taichung.FromSGD 32

Hotel room quite big,clean and worth the price. Location good near the Taichung train station walk within 3 minutes. Good place to use the public transport, walk within 1 minute have the convenient shop 7/11 and family mart. Even come with HSR and transfer via TRA go to this hotel also very easier. The bad thing is this hotel do not have rest place to microwave takeaway food, u need to finished the food in your room and do not have water purifier. If wanna get some hot water refill may need to get free from Family mart. Anyway, I'm still enjoying in this hotel.FromSGD 29

Taichung Railway Station/Miyahara Dessert Store Taichung|0.5km from downtown
We stayed for two days. Location convenient, was about 10 mins walk on flat ground from Taichung train station, and walkable to Miyahara (the famous ice cream shop). Interesting modern look of the lobby and the room interiors and the people at the counter were very friendly and helpful. The room looked well maintained, nothing looked shabby. You can't throw used toilet paper into the toilet bowl; an open top bin was provided but it should be a closed-top bin to better contain odours. There weren't sufficient hangers for clothes, no clothing rail, just two wooden hangers and three spots on the wall for hanging used clothes. Also the toilet and the bathroom were not separated enclosed rooms but separated from the bed area only by a glass door that was semi-transparent in some places; the sink was in the same space as the bedroom so early risers will have to disturb people who are still sleeping. What disturbed me most was how I ended up having many small red itchy spots in many places which I suspect are from bedbugs, though I didn't see any signs of this on the bed itself.FromSGD 44
