Macao was a breathe of fresh air. I was so happy to see the Christmas decorations and lights everywhere. Its a small island, you can really explore everything in 2 days. If you want to go shopping or take fabulous photos, go to the Studio of Lights. That’s where the hotels: Parisian, Venetian and Londoner is. You will also find casinos there as well. I enjoyed staying near the St. Paul Ruins. In that area you can see Portugais influenced buildings and eat Macao’s famously known egg tarts. I truly enjoyed Macao and will go back again! Gondbei Port Plaza is an underground plaza located just right off the gongbei port. If you are looking for affordable shopping and great food, this is the first start of your journey when in Mainland China from Macau. Here you will have tons of dining options mostly chinese cuisines. There are also milk tea shops, bakeries, all kinds of shoppings, luggages, housewears, and a lot more. No need to travel far, just go out from the port and you’re all good. #mynovgetaway

1. Take a high-speed train 🚄 from Guangzhou to Zhuhai Station, and then directly walk to Gongbei Port from Zhuhai Station. (There will be signposts 🪧 after getting off, just follow the signs and you won't go wrong) 2. After we came out of Zhuhai Station to Gongbei Port customs, we exchanged for Macau Patacas and Hong Kong dollars right outside the customs. (Here you must pay attention ⚠️, you must exchange Macau Patacas or Hong Kong dollars at the rate shops outside, because the amount of Macau Patacas you get inside the port will be one or two less than outside) For example, 100 RMB can be exchanged for 111 Macau Patacas outside; if you exchange inside, you only get 108 Macau Patacas, and by that time you are already inside the port and can't come out, so you have to exchange! 3.
