A travel guide to Xi'an for first-timers!
Local tips coming your way! If you're planning a trip to Xi'an, you must read and save this practical guide I've painstakingly put together❤️🔥
For your reference✨
🔥Must-visit attractions
👉🏻Bell Tower, Drum Tower: The Bell Tower is located in the center of Xi'an, a landmark building, and the Drum Tower is next to the Muslim Quarter. Both are close by, a 5-minute walk apart, and there's a joint ticket for climbing both towers for 50 RMB;
🌸Tips: The views from the towers and from the outside each have their own charm. For outdoor photos, go to the observation deck on the 5th floor of Kaiyuan Mall next to the Bell Tower. The photo angle is superb, and it's free❗
👉🏻Tang Paradise, Big Wild Goose Pagoda: These places are frequently trending online. It's less crowded during the day, but the real scene comes alive at night;
It's recommended to go in the afternoon, start with the Big Wild Goose Pagoda (no need to go up, outdoor photos are classic). You can check the performance schedule on the Tang Paradise official account, plan ahead to queue for the show you're most interested in, as it really gets crowded to the point of questioning life
👉🏻Xi'an City Wall: Allocate enough time here, it's easy to get up but hard to come down, with a total length of 13.7 kilometers. It's worth renting a bicycle to go around (45 RMB/3 hours). The Yongning Gate is the most classic city gate, and it's the best spot for a photo🌈
👉🏻Terracotta Army: Tickets are 120 RMB per person, located outside the main urban area of Xi'an, quite far, one of the world's eight wonders. Don't set your expectations too high, it's one of those heritage sites where you feel like since you're there, you've got to check it off your list. Hiring a guide can make it more interesting.
🔥Must-try local foods
Shaanxi cuisine: You can go to Chang'an Stove under Yongning Gate, classic and authentic, with dishes like gourd chicken, clothes-hanging tripe that are both good-looking and tasty, and elbow rice that's very fragrant. You can also enjoy the city wall view⭐️
Snacks: Roujiamo (meat sandwich), gourd chicken, beef and mutton paomo (locals prefer beef paomo, ✨it's suggested to try paomo, water basin, and small stir-fry, each with its own flavor), gourd head, zeng cake (don't buy mirror cake, it's not tasty! Take my advice!), biangbiang noodles, rice skin, meatball hot and spicy soup, oil tea;
The Muslim Quarter is not as bad as rumored, avoid common snacks like grilled squid❌
Recommended is Grandma's sour plum soup, choose half-and-half with fermented glutinous rice sour plum soup, delicious!
A must-visit clock tower in Xi'an! It is highly recommended to wear Hanfu to take pictures. The tickets are not very expensive. The whole building is very beautiful across the road. I personally think it is worth going up and taking a look.
It looks like it is a cultural relics, not built afterward. We didn't ask to explain it late. We all saw the pictures of ourselves. It was very difficult to take the elderly up the stairs. The big clock is not a cultural relics. You can touch it. Let's see the picture above.
Xi'an Bell Tower, located in the center of Xi'an, Shaanxi Province, is one of the most complete and functional ancient bell towers in China. As an ancient city symbol, the bell tower witnessed the historical changes of Xi'an. I was fortunate to visit the Xi'an Bell Tower on a recent trip, and I was impressed by the magnificent scenery and long history.
What I especially want to say is that I have been to Xi'an for a few days. I have been to Xi'an Bell Tower (where to book tickets online). After I arrived at the scenic spot, I couldn't find the booking information, and I couldn't get in at the entrance. Just when we were in a hurry, a handsome guy on duty came, asked what the situation was, and immediately helped us check the information, or no. Then we found a POS machine and lost the mobile phone number or no. He thought about it and wanted to say that he lost the ID number to try it. The result was found soon. I was really touched at the time. I didn't know what to say to thank him and left 2 photos for everyone. Like this handsome guy! Like the people of Xi'an!
Visit the 4th floor of the nearby mall to get the best views of the tower, especially at night. I haven’t entered the inside of the tower.
It's worth going, too many places are fascinating, in addition to the significance of the big beauty is still beautiful! Visit with a feeling of reverence and love for the motherland! Xi'an tour ten miles lights a prosperous life I wish the age of the first literati politicians to respect historical figures so much, let me can not help but for the scenery of that era! Zhou Qin, Han and Tang, the history of the river shining countless pearls, I seem to have entered the scene of life before the millennium! Taste local cuisine noodles, wontons, and snacks, as if the tongue is beating on the thick mark of the years! Coming to Xi'an feels like crossing the time and space tunnel, as if returning to ancient times. Each place is full of mystery and charm.
The clock tower is a must-check place. The lighted clock tower feels different from the clock tower during the day. The clock tower is named after the iron clock hanging upstairs. Xi'an Bell Tower is a magnificent building with strong Chinese characteristics, and it is also the largest and most complete clock tower that China can currently see.
