Nine Women Pier

From the pear garden to the left, towards the pear garden hospital. A small and easy to overlook the small monument scenic spot. This is the nine female Dun, who commemorates the nine heroic women of Taiping Heavenly Kingdom. The history of this monument is very long, built in the 1950s.

Entering the Wuhan Greenway from Liyuan Square, after passing the lake light prelude and the water moon pavilion, it is also the starting point of the Greenway. The nine female martyrs in the Taiping Heavenly Kingdom are buried here, and it is also a monument to the unsung heroes. I hope we can always remember them, today's good life is not easy.

Jiu Nvdun is on the edge of the East Lake, walk in the right hand direction of the East Lake Liyuan Gate, there is a section of the lake next to it that is particularly shallow, many people often go swimming there. Jiu Nvdun is a monument on the platform. It is rumored that many liberated women participated in the uprising when the Taiping Heavenly Army occupied Wuchang. After the Qing army, they fought back and massacred in the suburbs. There were nine female soldiers, who were not aggrieved by the enemy. They fought bravely and sacrificed. The villagers buried their remains here. When the government is not persecuted, it is called the grave.

After the renovation, the nine female piers are now very beautiful, with rich vegetation, bicycle lanes and leisure plank roads, etc., and various lights at night are particularly beautiful.
