Beginning in late June, the lotus blossoms in Beihu began to bloom one after another. Because the varieties are different and the flowering time is different, so coming here to enjoy the flowers can continue until August. Where is the lotus generally located? We usually enter the park from the east gate of Beihu, and walk south along the lotus road to the end. There is a free parking lot next to it. After entering the gate, walk about two or three hundred meters along the road and there is a path that extends to the wetland. We staggered along the path, with no time, no purpose, and stopped, stopped, stopped.

In 1995, Comrade Zhao Zhihao, then secretary of Shandong Provincial Committee, visited Beihu and wrote "Beihu is picturesque" in his own writing. Since 1992, Jining City and Beihu New District have held lotus flower festivals here every year. Guests from home and abroad gather here to watch the lake and enjoy the lotus, and go boating and fishing. In 1994, the "China Four Lakes Sodality" was established here, and the annual meeting attended by Hangzhou West Lake, Jiaxing South Lake, Wuhan East Lake and Jining North Lake was held. Jining City has continuously increased its investment in Beihu, built the "Beihu Road" and "Lotus Avenue" from the city to Beihu, opened up the air tour airport, purchased more than 500 (s) cruise ships, yachts, set up fishing centers, and built 50,000 square meters of lake swimming pool. Water sports such as swimming, surfing and kayaking were opened, and a number of shops and restaurants were also built. In 1996, the two-level government in the urban area invested more than 50 million yuan to strengthen the infrastructure construction of Beihu, build all the embankments around the lake, build a 12-kilometer road around the lake, build and strengthen 8 lake-center islands, dig more than 10 waterways, and set up a new batch of new attractions such as "reeds and dangling maze". The power, post and telecommunications projects around the lake and leading to the lake heart island have been completed. The second phase of "tourism resort" and "canal cultural landscape" will be completed soon.
