Juro of the seven lucky gods of Kasahara
Original Text
I went around the Seven Lucky Gods of Kashihara in hopes of the end of the corona on New Year's Day, but started from this Maya Temple, a Jurojin. This temple is a temple of the Nichiren sect that enshrines Mrs. Maya, the mother of Shaka. The statue of Mrs. Maya, a wooden statue built in 1678, is famous, but it is usually enshrined in Maya Do hall, so it cannot be seen today. Maya-do was built around 1840, but the main hall is said to have been rebuilt in 1978. Although it reads "Mayaji", the name is fashionable.
Jurojin is enshrined in one of the Seven Lucky Gods of Kashihara. The statue of Mrs. Maya is a designated cultural property in Shinagawa Ward. It is a relatively new temple. If you look closely, you were wearing a cotton hat. I felt that it was a temple of the Nichiren sect.
It is the guardian of the village. It is on a hill and I don't think it will be in a very good category as a temple. Neighbors 々 came to visit the first visit.
It is a temple that is loved locally called "Mayadera", but it seems to be read as "Mayaji" instead of officially pronounced "Mayadera". It is a community-based temple.
There is also a fairly large graveyard behind the temple, which makes it feel like it is rooted in the area. The building is strangely modern, so it lacks the atmosphere.
