Xichang Temple

Xilin Street, Sanlin Town, Pudong New District, Shanghai, no tickets, open daily. Xichang Temple is a combination of Xichangyi and Xichenghuang Temple, as well as Daxiong Palace and Chenghuang Palace.

I have always heard that there is a big temple in Sanlin Old Street, but I have never seen it. Finally, I asked all the way to the National Day and found it. It turned out to go all the way along the old street to the end, and there were villagers' residential areas behind. Sanlin Port turned here, just to let the temple and Jiyang Road across the river. This is a quiet world on one side, there are no other tourists that day. The most conspicuous entrance is the open-air viewing and video, followed by the eighteen Luohan on the right side of the wall. There are two great halls side by side, one is the Buddhist Grand Palace and the Taoist City Hall, which fully reflects the Chinese characteristics of the harmonious coexistence of Buddha and Tao.

Just near Sanlin Old Street, just taking advantage of this time of temple fair, just go over and see it. The temple is a bit historical, but the building is quite new. The 18 Luohan stone carvings are placed in the open air and there are explanations on the side.
