When in Shanghai, you must go to the night view sightseeing route of the Bund in Magic City. Recently, some friends from other places asked me if they want to come to Shanghai to play, are there many people? Comparing with the Bund in Shanghai, I feel sorry for Guangzhou!|||I recently went to Shanghai, and visited the Bund again. I have to say, the cultural and historical heritage, the modern architecture, and the bustling business, all contribute to the unique charm of the Bund. Many buildings actually feel similar to those on Yanjiang West Road in Guangzhou. But the scale and volume are far from Shanghai. - Historically speaking, Guangzhou, the millennium business capital, was the earliest commercial port. The history of opening to the outside world is clearly the longest, but it was quickly replaced by Shanghai who came from behind. The conservation efforts of Guangzhou for the west bank of Yanjiang West Road are far from Shanghai. Now it has become various wholesale markets and warehouses. I really feel it's a pity.

The only downside: it's only available in Shanghai! For the May Day holiday, the first thing to do in Shanghai is definitely to try the Bund-exclusive ice cream, a check-in must-have! The landmark-shaped ice cream is so photogenic, and all three flavors are delicious! My favorite is the matcha flavor, it's incredibly refreshing and perfect for summer. I roamed the Bund just for these ice creams! When you're tired from walking, head next door to try the Bund's must-visit queue king, even celebrities like Cook, Zheng Kai, and Wu Zun can't stop praising it, so of course, I had to follow the trend and try it! The crab roe noodles and Jiangnan sweet soup are so tasty! There's also the flower-carved drunken crab with super plump crab roe, right at the filming location of 'Blossoms' at Bund 27, where Miss Wang works. It really has the atmosphere of old Shanghai.

Shanghai skyline at night is unbelievable! Staring at all the skyscrapers from the Bund made us feel inside a sci-fi movie.

Some places can't say exactly where they are good, but they are unforgettable. For me, Shanghai is such a place - it is both the first stop of my trip and the city I have visited the most. It has both the prosperity of modern cities and the beauty of Jiangnan water towns. High-rise buildings and alleyways shine each other, elegant and lazy coexist. Various seemingly contradictory but harmoniously coexisting elements are breathtaking, and inclusiveness and diversity are the most fascinating places in Magic City. 🌟Classic check-in route ➡️City God Temple-Yuyuan Garden-Bund-Nanjing Road Pedestrian Street The must-check route for the first time to Shanghai. The "old Shanghai" and the "new era" coexist. Religious buildings, Jiangnan gardens, skyscrapers, snack commercial streets, this route includes them all. When you are in Shanghai, remember to visit here or you would like to immerse yourself in it, I would recommend you to take the Ferry across the river with only RMB 2 so that you can enjoy the view of both sides from the middle!! 1.Apps Important things need to be repeated thrice! China is such a forward country that everything in their lives revolves around the apps. Get these to survive: Alipay(3% transaction fee above RMB200) -A map -Trip.com 2.Passport/visa.2 Singapore passport holders can go into China without visa for 15 days. For non-Singaporeans who live here, you need to apply for visa. Application process is pretty straightforward, and need about 1 week. 3.Bank card and Money Although Alipay is highly preferable, sometimes it just doesn't work properly, but fret not, we can still use card or cash to pay. Also, since higher-value purchases have admin charges, recommend to ask the merchants if they accept cards before using Alipay to save some money, which could accumulate. Remember to activate overseas usage on your cards, and exchange some money if needed. As a reference, we exchanged $300 for 11 days but only used up $200(you can also bring some SGD to exchange there, should be pretty convenient in the cities) 4.Local Sim card or Hong Kong Sim card Many apps (2 mentioned above as examples) only work with local numbers. Recommend to get local number when you land, to use those. 5. clothes Do prepare and bring more clothes than necessary, especially in cooler/colder months, as the weather can change anytime (more fickle than women!)l checked the weather 3-4 times before my trip and still ended up bringing wrong clothes! Best is to prepare for layering, as daily weather can also keep changing. #trip
