Local Manju festival! First hand experience
We visited the Kangoku shrine on a special occasion - the annual Manju festival at the Rin shrine (small shrine near the main one). It’s celebrated every year on April 19 and assembles all local produ...
It is said to have been founded in 593, and there is a forest shrine enshrining the founder of Manju.

It is an old shrine and Shikinaisha, which started with enshrining the Sonojin in the first year of Emperor Suiko (593) and the Hanjin Niza in 717. Cherry blossoms bloom in the precincts, and although it is a small shrine, it makes you feel the history. Two shrine monuments standing in front of the precincts and beside the Akatorii gate were carved as "Kagatasha Hankoku Shrine" and "Manju no Sojin Hayashi Shrine". When you follow the approach and enter the precincts, the main shrine stands in front of you. It was recorded that it was designated as a tangible cultural property designated by Nara Prefecture.
It is also close to Kintetsu Nara Station. There is Hayashi Shrine as a precinct shrine, which enshrines Hayashi Join (Rin John Inn), who is known as the first person to start manufacturing buns in Japan. It has nothing to do with the industry, but I thought it was a very unusual place.
It's a little bit back from the traffic-intensive road.

The precincts feel quiet because it is located a little further back from the busy easy road. 6 A shrine built in the latter half of the century, when it comes out at this time, Emperor Suiko and Prince Shotoku feel very old. The main shrine is a shrine with abundant nature surrounded by flowers and trees.
