We only rode as far as the town of Tunnel Hill, so I can't comment on the rest of the trail. Plenty of shade if you're there in summer, but a few walnuts if in October as we were.
My friend and I only rode 10 miles of this trail, but I will be coming back for more! It was so beautiful in the fall. Nice ride for any level of cyclist

Excellent condition, nearly flat.
