Istanbul Archaeological Museums

Its a great museum to visit whilst in Istanbul! It has a lot of statues and historical sofas from the Roman period!

The archaeological museum does not have a Chinese audio guide, so it looks fast. There are quite a lot of cultural relics inside, all from ancient Greece and ancient Rome. I saw the treasure of the town hall from the Alexander sarcophagus and the mourning woman sarcophagus (exquisitely carved, mourning comes to my face). The tile pavilion and the Oriental pavilion were closed when we went. You can have a cup of coffee in the cafe yard where the sculptures are everywhere.

Every time I go to a country and a city, I always like to go to the local museums and galleries. The Istanbul Archaeological Museum is located not far from the west of the Topkap Palace. The preserved Alexander sarcophagus can be seen in the treasure trove of ancient treasures. Great works of art and rare coin collection. Will need 2 hours to see all objects slowly though you can walk fast thu the place in 1 hour. Recommend that buy 5 day 550 Lira museum pass (includes Topkapi palace, galata tower and several other museums nearby) here as tickets lines are much sorter than at the other locations. My 8 year old child only needed a 80 Lira separate pass fot the Topkapi palace as admission for small children to other places like the galat tower is free for such small children.
