Caoyun Square

The Shanghai Yun Square is located in the center of Huai'an District. It is the official office complex of the governor of the National Shanghai Yun in the Ming and Qing dynasties. In May 2006, it was announced by the State Administration of Cultural Relics as one of the 16 important nodes in the Huai'an section of the Grand Canal. On June 22, 2014, it was listed as an important heritage site in Huai'an Section of the Grand Canal of China as a World Heritage Site.
