The memorial park of the hybrid rice school is the original campus of the Anjiang Agricultural School in Hunan Province and the birthplace of hybrid rice. The park is located in the village of Anjiang Town, Hongjiang City, on the banks of the Lishui River. Anjiang Agricultural School, the predecessor of the National 11th Middle School Vocational Department, was founded in 1939 in Wugang County, Hunan Province, Zhuyutang, due to the Japanese invasion, the war of resistance moved here. This place was originally the site of Shengjue Temple, a Buddhist ancient temple in the ancient civilization. Shengjue Temple was built in the early Ming Dynasty and was one of several major temples in Xiangxi.
