Hiroshima Orizuru Tower

Hiroshima must go to check in, very good, recommended

Climb to the top for panoramic views of Hiroshima, and learn the art of folding origami cranes for peace.

I went in the early evening. I was warned the cafe and bar at the top were closed but wanted to go anyway. The view at the top is pretty enough (it’s not that high) but the safety net makes taking decent photos an impossibility. A nice place to sit and chill but there are better and free places nearby you can sit and admire the gardens. 2200 yen is a lot. The room for making paper cranes is similarly just ok. The paper is not included in your entrance fee, so felt like a rip off. I took the slide down which was very meh. It stops on every floor. It’s design means- at least as a solo rider- you hit your right elbow on every turn (the elbow guard saved my elbow not my whole arm) making it very uncomfortable. Not worth the cost!

Orizuru Tower was very comfortable and easy to spend, and I was able to know Hiroshima while touching with five senses. At the same time, I was able to think about what I could do to connect to the future, and at the same time I was able to think about my consciousness for peace. The staff were very nice people with love for Hiroshima. I want to go again.

The exterior of the building also had a pattern of folding crane and it was an impressive building. There is also a shop on the first floor
