Guangxiaotang is an important Christian church in Guangzhou. It is located at No. 29 Guangxiao Road, Yuexiu District, near the locals commonly known as the "West Gate". Built in 1921-1924, the Chinese Gang Ji Shenli Preacher (Congregational Church) organized by overseas Chinese Christians in the United States returned to invest in the construction. Guangxiaotang sits west to east, can accommodate more than 1200 people worship, is one of the largest churches in Guangzhou. It has opened Zhengguang Elementary School and Kindergarten. After 1958, the Chinese Christian Church of China, Xicun Church, Renji Church and Xinyihui Haizhu Church were merged into the church, so it has a greater impact in Guangzhou. Every Christmas Eve and Christmas, Guangxiaotang will open Mass and hold activities to attract many young people to feel the Christmas atmosphere.
