The autumn wind is bleak, and it takes half an hour to get to Badaling from Qinghe Railway Station early in the morning. After a short rest and breakfast, we started to visit the scenic area. However, there are a lot of people here, and you might need to queue up for photos 😲! 💥Jiankou Great Wall: This is a very wild section of the Great Wall 😱, suitable for friends who like challenges! But 😒, the road conditions here are quite complex, and a certain level of outdoor experience and physical strength is required 😫. The Badaling Great Wall is known as one of the 'Nine Fortresses under Heaven', combining majestic and precipitous scenery with beautiful, lush greenery, and is the essence of the Ming Dynasty's Great Wall landscapes. Badaling (八達嶺; 八达岭) is the site of the most visited section of the Great Wall of China, approximately 80 kilometers (50 mi) northwest of Beijing's city center, in Yanqing District (within Beijing municipality). The portion of the wall running through the site was built in 1504 during the Ming Dynasty, along with a military outpost reflecting the location's strategic importance. The highest point of Badaling is Beibalou (北八樓), approximately 1,015 meters (3,330 ft) above sea level.

If you wanna experience the great wall, good option for you is to visit Badaling. You may take a bus going to this location. Dont worry, fare is just cheap. Make sure to come on normal days and not on holiday or else it will be a hassle to travel with thousands of people. Be ready to climb flight of stairs. Visiting the Great Wall of China definitely feels like a milestone. You read so much about this world’s heritage site, that experiencing it feels beyond anything you can dream off. The Badaling section of the Great Wall is the most popular, dates from Ming dynasty and its highest point is 1015m (Beibalou). Yanqing county is located 80km away from Beijing downtown. There are few stores and restaurants in the base of the Wall, Subway can be the easiest option considering you are about to walk for hours. You can reach the summit by walking or taking a cable car. Be prepared for a long walk around the wall, difficulty levels may depend on walk the side you chose to explore. Both ways, scenery is absolutely breathtaking. Even more if you consider you are now part of ancient history and one of the seven wonders of the world. Even more surprisingly, internet there is great. Remember you have to go back over your steps to get down to the wall’s base. Now, the exciting part of leaving is that you get to do it by riding a toboggan!! When: August 2019 No doubt that this is the number one destination when you heading to China. Take the cable car till the top and start walking. Be prepared for a huge crowd of people. This is the main place where tourist start their exploration of The Great Wall. I was so excited that it seemed to me that we were waking only an hour but actually we were walking for more than 5 hours. Start your journey very early and don’t forget to buy the tickets in advance otherwise you will miss your chance. #greatwall
