The Dr. Sun Yat-Sen Classical Chinese Garden, located in Vancouver's Chinatown, is the first full-size classical Chinese garden located outside of China. The Chinese Garden showcases Ming Dynasty-era designs in its public park and garden, and houses Chinese cultural exhibits within its community building. The peaceful pond, which is surrounded by stone walkways, features beautiful koi and waterlilies. A gift shop offers everything from beautiful crafts to comical Mao-branded merchandise.
Love it! You don't need to pay to see the best part of it!!
Water feature was down for repairs on our visit but admission was 2$ off. Joined escorted tour which was very good.
The gardens are beautiful and the tour was great. Everything was very good.
Breathtaking, rain or shine… Journey back in time to 15th Century China and enjoy this “window to another world”.
This is just one block from the condo! A beautiful classical indoor Chinese garden -- the first of its kind outside of China. Don't miss it! There is also a garden/park you can stroll through outside the building. It's free and not to be confused with the indoor classical garden.
