Rongzhou Kaiyuan Temple

Just behind the ancient city of Rongzhou, next to the Rongxian Museum, it is free to open and you can see it on the way. It was built in the Tang Dynasty and is said to be one of the oldest temples in Guangxi, but its buildings are very new. It was originally rebuilt according to historical materials in recent years. After entering the archway of the monastery, there is also a mural corridor and pool in the square in front of the door, which is richer than many monotonous temple elements, and attracts many locals to relax here. There are not many pilgrims in the temple, the sacrificial environment is good, and there is also a vegetarian restaurant to entertain the good faith.

This Kaiyuan Temple is a modern imitation. The previous one has been burned in the fire. The rebuilt temple has been renovated according to the original design. The oldest cultural relics are the clocks that inherit the millennium. Now they are placed in the museum next to it.

Rongzhou Kaiyuan Temple was built in the early Tang Dynasty, has a history of more than 1,000 years, is one of the oldest monasteries in Guangxi. In 2014, Rongxian launched the tourism development conference in wartime, and listed the Zhenwu Pavilion scenic tourism improvement project as a key project, including the reconstruction of Rongzhou Kaiyuan Temple according to the original layout of the old site, using antique building form for construction, September 8, 2016 Kaiguang put into use.
