The fourth special zone in eastern Shan State, Myanmar, is located in the eastern border of Shan State, Myanmar, bordering Xishuangbanna, Yunnan Province, China in the north, Laos in the east, and the second special zone in Myanmar (Wa State) in the west. With a total area of 4,952 square kilometers, it has jurisdiction over three areas: Mengla, Nanban and Sele, which are the main Chinese settlements in northern Myanmar.
