Liuzhou's green-side 🌴
Located in the southern city of Liuzhou in China's Guangxi Province, Longtan Park is a blissful oasis of natural wonder surrounded by the urban sprawl. Getting here is very simple...taxi, private car, bus or even just walking are all fine. Entrance is free, but expect the stroll around the entire place to take more than a couple of hours, depending on the route you take. There are several trails to choose from, allowing you to see the several beautiful lakes, along with the wonderful plants and trees growing all around. Take a break at one of the many quiet pavillions or have a picnic on the open grass, this place caters for all visitors! When traveling alone in Liuzhou during the May Day holiday, one should always visit Longtan Park to enjoy the scenery
I finally arrived at Longtan Park in Liuzhou, the other side of the 'Anywhere Door'.
The history of Longtan Park can be traced back to the Tang Dynasty. It is said that in ancient times, the gods of thunder and dragon were in charge of thunderstorms here, hence the name 'Dragon Thunder Victory Land'. The planned area of Longtan Park is about 544 hectares, famous for its karst natural landscape and subtropical karst plant scenery.
Opening hours: 6:00-22:00
❗️You can go boating, have a picnic, take a walk, enjoy the view, take photos to remember, and enjoy the beauty of nature.
📍The Crooked Neck Tree
📍The Wind and Rain Bridge
Make sure to take photos at both places, where the lake water and green trees complement each other beautifully.
❗️Outfit
Do not wear green clothes; white or light-colored clothes are more photogenic.
❗️There are many trees and mosquitoes, remember to bring mosquito repellent.
Because I was in a hurry to go to Yaobu Ancient Town with friends for makeup, I did not go to Jing Mountain to take photos.
When in Liuzhou, one must always take a stroll in Longtan Park.
Anyone who comes to Liuzhou, I would be sad if they missed this place
Liuzhou is not just about Luosifen
There's also a scenic niche park hidden away
Karst topography caves, S-shaped paths on the lake, the famous crooked tree...
This place is not only a natural oxygen bar, but also a great spot for photography
Anyone who comes to Liuzhou, I would be sad if they missed this place

📍Location: Longtan Park, Liuzhou City
⌚️Time: 6:00-22:30
🎫Ticket: Free
-
The estimated time for visiting and taking photos is about 2 hours. It is recommended to arrive at the park before 8:00 am. All the photo spots are roughly distributed near the north gate, so it is suggested to start from the north gate. The park is very large and everywhere is scenic, friends who like taking photos can hardly walk away,
-
📷Photo spots
✅📍S-shaped path on the lake
The S-shaped path meandering in the lake makes you feel as if you are in a landscape painting
✅📍Wind and Rain Bridge
Ethnic style architecture, very photogenic
✅📍Crooked Tree
Trees growing at an angle, crystal clear lake water, freely swimming fish, it's like coming to 'Jiuzhaigou'
✅📍Big Banyan Tree
The big banyan tree that shades the sky, like a refuge for the soul, casually taking pictures is super atmospheric
✅📍Jingshan Cave
A natural cave formed by karst topography, wait for a sunset if you have time, it's especially romantic

📒Travel tips:
1. As the temperature gradually rises in spring and summer, pay attention to sun protection and mosquitoes when playing and taking photos
2. Every time I go out for a trip and take photos, I like to wear headphones to enjoy the scenery while listening to music
3. If you want to capture images with fewer people, you can arrive at the park before 8 am
In spring, take a train to Liuzhou
A comfortable, warm, and fulfilling spring journey, I chose the train's soft sleeper for the round trip. Setting off in the glow of the setting sun, I sat by the train window, slowly sipping tea while enjoying the scenery, imagining a pleasant trip~
Liuzhou is a city with a pace at half speed. Coming here from the twice-as-fast Shenzhen, both body and soul relax and soften. The local food is not limited to Luosifen, although Luosifen is also very delicious. The first time I tried fried snail noodles and Luosifen with fried egg and duck feet, it was very fragrant. My favorite was the cold mixed beef offal I had in Yaobu ancient town, a bit spicy, but just right with a bottle of strong cold iced black tea I bought from the convenience store next door, a perfect match. I enjoyed it so much that I finished two big bowls of white rice. I'm still craving it now 😋
The next day, I got up early to catch the Qingyun morning market, where I tasted the local specialty sticky rice and a variety of small tea snacks. After eating, I visited Longtan Park, which had particularly good weather and beautiful, pleasant scenery.
In the end, everyone who comes to Liuzhou must try the street-side Lao You Fen!

Chengyang Bazhai Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
High-speed rail direct access|The millennium Dong village is a paradise, preserving the original ecology of the village
High-speed rail direct access|The millennium Dong village is a paradise, preserving the original ecology of the village.
I still like it here when I brush Chengyang Bazhai for the second time
It really looks like an ancient village in a secret realm, escaping from the hustle and bustle
Rich and colorful Dong culture, although it is a scenic spot, it still retains the simple and pure Dong folk customs, the original ecological natural ancient village, terraces, wind and rain bridges, and Dong drum towers
Eight villages are connected together, and it really takes two days to finish the eight villages
•
Walking in the village, Dong houses are mainly wooden structures, with unique architectural styles, more like a piece of art
You can choose to live in the village, stay in a Dong house for one night, and the sound of climbing up the wooden stairs will definitely make you unforgettable
•
The Dong drum tower is also a symbol of the eight villages. Each village has a drum tower, and there is a square in front of it. Every time a festival comes, villagers will gather here to sing and dance, and gather together
•
You must experience the fire pond feast, a group of people sitting around a long table, with two stoves in the middle, eating and feeling the Dong culture
-
🚄Traffic strategy:
🟠High-speed rail direct to Sanjiang South Station
🟠Sanjiang South Station Tourist Distribution Center——Chengyang Bazhai Tourist Special Line Bus
Departure time: 10:00, 12:10, 14:50, 17:40
-
✔️Shooting and check-in position:
1⃣️Yongji Bridge (the most famous wind and rain bridge in the scenic area, Dong sister welcomes guests)
2⃣️ Sanjiang Drum Tower (small people and big scenery composition, highlighting the drum tower feature)
3⃣️Terraces (walking around the river, you can take pictures of terraces and houses, comfortable)
-
👗Clothing recommendation
You can experience wearing ethnic costumes for shooting, feeling the Dong style
There is a place to rent clothes 200 meters outside the wind and rain bridge, and there are many choices of costumes
In Sanjiang County, which borders Hunan and Guizhou in Guangxi, there are eight Yi villages. The main development villages are: Ma Anzhai, Pingzhai, Yanzhai. I have always been fascinated by the original ethnic customs in the Chengyang Bazhai. Because of the rain, the long table banquet was held in the Drum Tower. The unknown people sitting on a table were friends. The long table banquet not only can eat the food on their table, but also can be smashed into other tables. A special experience. When I was half-eaten, the host played a mountain stream and sang a toasting song while asking the guests to drink, so it was well-deserved.
Guangxi March Third | Liuzhou Four Days Three Nights Practical Guide
The world is so big, only Guangxi is on holiday. To experience the Guangxi March Third, I specifically went to Liuzhou for a few days and summarized this practical guide for four days and three nights, with an average cost of less than 2000 yuan.
Firstly, it is recommended to take the high-speed train to Liuzhou and then rent a car for a self-driving tour. Liuzhou has many two-seater electric cars, starting at 1 yuan, which are cheap and convenient.
Secondly, for the three-day accommodation, it is suggested to stay in Liuzhou city on the first day, in Mengwu Miao Village on the second day, and in Chengyang Bazhai on the third day, as these three places have many attractions and activities.
Finally, the itinerary is suggested as follows.
Day one, Liuzhou day trip, visit Longtan Park in the morning, where there are several spots that are very photogenic, especially suitable for ancient-style photography. Have lunch at a nearby Luosifen rice noodle shop.
In the afternoon, visit Liuhou Temple, which is an ancient architectural complex commemorating the famous Tang Dynasty literary figure Liuzongyuan, and the Three Absolutes Stele, the treasure of the temple, is not to be missed.
Before evening, go to Yufengshan Park to take the elevator to the top of Ma'anshan to watch the sunset, where you can see the panoramic view of Liuzhou city with an excellent view (unfortunately, it was raining when I went and I didn't see anything).
In the evening, go to the five-star pedestrian street to stroll through the night market and eat street food, and then walk to the riverside at eight o'clock to watch the fountain night view.
Day two: In the morning, go to Mengwu Miao Village, a two-hour drive. Then rent a Miao costume for travel photography, have dinner at the long table banquet, and remember to sign up in advance.
After dinner, stroll through the ancient village, the night view is very dreamy, just like entering the world of animation, and there is a performance at eight o'clock in the evening, remember to watch it by the pool.
Day three: In the morning, go to Chengyang Bazhai, about a two-hour drive. After arriving, rent a Dong costume and then tour around. There are eight villages here which are very large, it is recommended to focus on visiting Ma'anshan Village and Yan Village, Yongji Bridge, Drum Tower, riverside terraces, and deep alleys are all great for portrait photography.
Have lunch at the fire pit family banquet (the taste is really good, a table costs more than 1000 yuan, you need to book in advance, it is best to have around 10 people), and have dinner at the drum tower long table banquet in Ma'anshan Village in the evening, also need to sign up in advance.
Day four: In the morning, go to Sanjiang county town to see the world's longest wind and rain bridge, and then return.
Above is the Liuzhou four days three nights guide, if you have any questions, please leave a message, if you want to know more travel information, welcome to follow Mango Travel Diary.

The Liuzhou Industrial Museum Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
Have you ever seen a horse fighting competition that's fought for love, even more intense than bullfighting?
At the entrance of the Liuzhou Industrial Museum, there is a 'Double Horse Sculpture'. The sculpture is 12.5 meters tall and is inspired by the horse fighting of the Miao ethnicity in Rongshui, Liuzhou. It is a method for selecting breeding stallions and also a folk entertainment activity in Rongshui.
The Double Horse Sculpture was constructed by Liuzhou Shuangma Electric Fan Factory in 1984 and was originally erected in front of Liuzhou Railway Station on Feige Road, known as the most influential city landmark.
The 'Pride of Industry' in the Southwest, revisiting the glorious history of Liuzhou's industry
Liuzhou is a microcosm of China's modern industrialization process. Once popular products such as Shuangma fans, Dole refrigerators, Liangmianzhen toothpaste, Jinsangzi lozenges, and Baojun automobiles, all originated from Liuzhou.
The bamboo and wood industry (late Ming Dynasty) was one of the earliest crafts in Liuzhou. As early as the Tang and Song dynasties, Liuzhou's textile industry was quite famous. During the Song Dynasty, Liuzhou cloth was favored by merchants from all over.
As early as the Ming Dynasty, there were iron mining sites in Rongxian, Liuzhou. During the Yongzheng reign, Liuzhou was already capable of mass-producing bird guns and waist knives for military use.
In modern times, the people of Liuzhou have been industrious and dedicated to their country, nurturing a brilliant industrial culture and sowing the seeds of industrial development.
After the founding of New China, the people of Liuzhou were enlightened and open-minded, daring to be pioneers, initiating the construction of a new industrial city, forming a modern industrial system, and laying a solid industrial foundation.
In the early 1960s, in response to the increasingly severe international situation, China decided to build a complete national defense industrial strategic rear base in the southwest and northwest regions, commonly known as the 'Third Front' construction.
Guangxi, following the site selection principles of 'relying on mountains, dispersion, and concealment,' built a number of military, electronics, shipbuilding, aerospace 'Third Front' factories, and military mobilization production lines, and also organized a large-scale production and construction campaign.
To this day, the achievements of this 'Third Front' construction still play an important role in China's national defense and economic construction.
After the reform and opening up, the people of Liuzhou have been innovative and entrepreneurial, constantly striving to become stronger, driving economic upgrading and urban transformation, achieving industrial leapfrogging and continuous improvement of the ecological environment.

What makes Liuzhou the pillar of Guangxi's industry?
Liuzhou's industry began in the Republic of China and was founded in the early days of liberation. The development of Liuzhou's industry has witnessed the tremendous changes in Liuzhou over the past century and the achievements from 'Made in Liuzhou' to 'Created in Liuzhou'.
During the Tang, Song, Ming, and Qing dynasties, the formation of Liuzhou's river transportation hub and the development of handicrafts established Liuzhou's status as a central commercial port in the region of Guangxi.
Sailboats filled the Liujang River, and there were more than twenty docks in succession. The docks in the middle section of the north bank of the river were where large merchants set up brokerage firms (also known as Pingma firms or Jiuba firms) to cluster and operate, mainly handling the import and export business for traders.
The Westernization Movement introduced a large number of Western scientific and technological achievements, and a batch of modern industrial entities appeared in Liuzhou. In the 1860s, Fuchuan County and Hexian County in Guangxi established the Hefu Official Mining Bureau and Xiwang Coal Mine, mining coal and tin.
In 1909, Yang Daolin, a member of the Westernization faction, founded the Huaxing Wood Plant Company, pioneering the machinery and woodworking industry in Liuzhou. During his tenure as the prefect of Liuzhou, Yang Daolin also founded schools and built Liuhou Park for free public access.
The 'Sino-British Geng Fund' bullhead planer was a product provided to China by the British government with a partial refund of the Chinese Boxer Indemnity.
In 1916, Chen Jing Tang founded the Liuzhou Electric Light Company, marking the beginning of Liuzhou's public electricity and urban lighting.
In 1925, the New Guangxi Clique focused on developing new industries as a priority for revitalizing the economy to enhance military power. Among them, Liuzhou was a key focus, with the construction of the Xianggui and Qian-Gui Railways and the establishment of technical schools.
Liuzhou Machinery Factory, located in Jila Village by the Liujang River, was established in 1928 and later renamed Guangxi Machinery Factory, becoming the 'Industrial Center of Guangxi' at that time.
In 1931, Liuzhou Machinery Factory successfully replicated the British single-wing primary trainer aircraft. After the outbreak of the war of resistance, the aircraft produced in batches under the 'Zhu Rongzhang number' made remarkable achievements in the air battles against Japan.
In 1933, Liuzhou Machinery Factory equipped a vehicle powered by charcoal, marking the beginning of automobile production in Guangxi. Liuzhou was once known as the 'heart of Guangxi's industry'.
During the 'First Five-Year Plan' (1953-1957), Liuzhou's industry began to take the shape of 'heavy industrialization'. It greatly promoted the development of the city, and Liuzhou gradually became a new emerging industrial city in the south.
The Nanning Conference in 1958 determined the construction of Liuzhou's ten major industrial projects.

Yaobu Ancient Town Travel Recommendations for 2024 (Updated in May)
evening leisure time...
Yaobu Ancient Town ( 窯埠古鎮) is located in Liuzhou, in southern China's Guangxi Province. To get here, you can take a bus or private car. It is also just as simple to take a taxi and drop off at the entrance next to the street. The best time to visit is in the evening, when the sun sets over the river and the lights on buildings become illuminated. Walking in, you are presented with the river on the right and a collection of people selling souvenirs and snacks. Keep walking ahead towards the main square, where everything is centered around a very impressive large pavillion that stand out amongst everything else. It is very photogenic from all angles and I liked this building alot. There are various small alleys to explore, with coffee shops, bars and restaurants selling local food and many other types of cuisine. You can also view and purchase traditional arts and crafts here too. You can visit here anytime of year, but spring and summer are the best times-although beware of mosquitoes. In winter it can get a little cold in the evening next to the river. This is a great place for couples or families as I feel it caters for these two groups of people the best.

Guangxi Liuzhou·Kale Planet | Liuzhou's "Disney"
Guangxi Liuzhou·Kale Planet | Liuzhou's "Disney"
The park of Kale Planet is very large, with Mermaid Kingdom, Sun Tribe, Kale Town, Casino Street, and Cloud Tribe Theme Park inside. Recommended projects: Myth, Pirate Ship, Crazy Bus, Haunted House, Sun God Bird, Ferris Wheel, Canyon Rafting
Sun God Bird: A standing flight experience theater, sitting on this will pull you up to more than 10 meters in the air to watch, the immersive feeling is super great
Canyon Rafting: It's most appropriate to play with the cool water in the current high temperature weather. The water rushes down from a high place, it's simply too refreshing, it relieves the summer heat (buy a raincoat outside)
Kale Town: There are many colorful small houses, which are especially suitable for posing for photos, very Korean style, super photogenic
-
Casino Street: Western cowboy style, suitable for taking photos
✨Small tips:
1. Not all projects in the park are free, such as the rainbow slide, you can ask the staff before playing;
2. You cannot bring food;
3. If you are worried about walking too tired, you can rent a car to play (100/hour)
4. If your backpack is too heavy, you can also store it at the customer service center in the park;
5. The first thing to remember when entering the park is to go to the customer service department to get a guide map
⏰Business hours: 11:00-20:00
🔍Address: No. 9 Cuiling Road, Yufeng District, Liuzhou City, Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region, Kale Planet

"The journey of light speed"
dive straight down, wind and power. Feel the thrill of weightlessness, inversion and centrifugation. This unique US Grant roller coaster belongs to the Super Roller Coaster series, with a height of about 31 meters, a first fall height of about 30 meters, and a train speed of up to 90 km/h. Or climb slowly, or dive quickly, or walk fast
"Pose of the Sea"
rotates back and forth in the form of a large pendulum, swinging left and right. Its irritating, really thrilling. To put it another way, if you don't scream during the game, you are God. In the process, sometimes suddenly suddenly like a dragon-like sway, sometimes the speed suddenly slows down, on the surface you may think it is over, but in the next second you may scream the throat because of the stimulation. Its really a facility.
"Shengdi Ancient Tower"
known as the screen jumper, is to watch with glasses. This project is a feature of this amusement park. In other amusement parks, similar amusement projects cannot be found. During the tour of this project, there will be a funny image of the ancients, taking me to explore the ancient tomb. The screen shows the thrill of exploring the ancient tomb and the funny when challenging the tomb guard. It is precisely because of these factors that this project has become the treasure of the playground.
"Rushing Forward"
After rising to a track of up to 26m high, it will slide at a high speed and then enter the water-filled exit track area. When the ship enters the water, it will cause a spectacular "water wall" to rush to the observation deck, so that I can feel the majestic momentum of the observation deck, the waves will splash on the bow and the sides of the hull. During the game, I experienced various stimulating feelings such as high-speed surfing, weightlessness, and centrifugal force. I feel a bit cool when I sweat in the hot summer days.
"Red Flame Dragon"
