Shanjiang Miao Village, also known as the General Barracks, is located in a gorge 20 kilometers northwest of Fenghuang Ancient City. It is a small village with a strong Miao life. Miao language is called Shanjiang, which means that it is a cave. Because there is a cave at the edge of the village, there are so many caves. There is a Miao Museum in the village, and the predecessor was the residence of Miao Wangfu, Miao Wang Long Yunfei. The museum houses Miao silver ornaments and costumes. After visiting the museum, you will come to the square in Miaozhai to watch the Miao songs and dances, the thrilling stepping on the steel knife, and participate in interactive games such as jumping bamboo poles.
